  • Makes my mouth water and my head spin at the thought of a four hour Eraserhead. To be plunged into that world for that length of time would have been a real experience. I loved it from the first time I saw it. I still believe that it is the most original American movie ever made. It has no anticedent to any type of film. When he made The Grandmother and submitted it for competition they had to make a new category to accomodate it. Eraserhead is without equal even by it's own creator. Brilliant.

  • four hour cut of eraserhead? wow now that'd be interesting to see, probably give a greater insight into david lynch's interpretation of the film as well.

but as it stands its still an incredible movie.

  • I'd watch a four hour cut of Eraserhead.

  • @Ashloomis

    Hell yeah.

  • @Ashloomis Me too. Me too.

  • @Ashloomis hell yeah, i would too... imagine if inland empire was shorter??? thats like 3 hours long!

  • @furvert101 Inland Empire was of perfect length.

  • @BruisedEyeSockets exactly

  • Does AFI stand for "American Film Institute"? I can't join something I don't know anything about.

  • @1958boomergirl Yeah. There is also a relatively underrated pop-punk band by the same name, which in contrast stands for A Fire Inside.

  • Commercials are ruining You Tube, especially when the damn clip won't play after sitting through an ad.

  • umm donate?

  • I wonder if Kubrick knew about this scene. Eraserhead was somewhat of an influence on his adaptation of The Shining and this reminds me of the dog-man scene near the end of Kubrick's film.

  • @electricmadcap 0_o spooky (seriously) that you say that because all i could think about when he was talking was THAT EXACT scene

  • In the Eraserhead 2000 DVD extras Lynch says he threw all that stuff out, the first showing was so poorly received. so he recut it. All that treasure was tossed in the trash, he said.

  • 4... HOURS!? D: dang i wish they would release that. also the clip he's talking about i think is still in possesion of David but im not 100%

  • I would love to see the 4 hour cut of Erasehead.

  • @r0b0hobo Ditto that! Hell, I wouldn't mind just seeing the "ladies on a bed" scene, because I've heard about it many times. But I don't think Lynch'll let us have a peek...
