OMG...everyone steals songs to sing. Don't know if she ever asked for permission, but it would be common courtesy to ask. My husband's friend, Toua Yang's, song called "khuv xim tsis tau deev" is pretty decent (hilarious but true for many guys) and he was asked to grant permission for a singer to make girl version of it. So like I said, just ask for permission. It's not worth getting sued for plagiarism.

This is one part of the Hmong culture that I do not agree with. So many hmong girls are forced to marry someone they have no romantic interest in and it's so sad. I understand that's how marriages were arranged in the old days back in Laos but when I have daughters, I will allow them to chose. As for the marrying the brother if the husband dies, that's something that should never be forced on anyone,esp now in the states.. parents should care more about their children rather than the culture.
