No, the zero wasn't faster. It was simply more maneuverable, and only at low speed. Wildcat and Hellcat pilots were taught to make straight, fast attacks and egress quickly.
I wish that they made these shows hour long ones or at least 45mins without adds on tv etc. I feel like he doesn't have enough time to talk about everything he wants to. I really like this guy, but these shows are too short and have too little detail so are just quick shows about entertainment and fun well over history

@calderwis A Zero is slightly faster than a Wildcat but the Hellcat is faster than both planes.
