  • this is HILARIOUS!!

  • Poor Australia! Ellen should have got Portia to dust off her accent.

  • Two such beautiful, inspirational blonds. So funny, thought Ellen said Borbeque XD

  • lol ellen has seen them all before

  • Lmao Meryl Streep's laugh is the cutest thing ever!

  • oooout n abuuuuut

  • "My Head must be too big".. lmaoooooo I can't stop laughing)))))))))

  • They're both so sweet <3

  • Hahah I love how Meryl tries to do the Bronx thing. <3

  • I don't say Ow-oot and a-bow-oot lol

  • where did they get the oot and aboot thing for canadians? was she trying to say a word or was that like an expression ?

  • @noblandit ...It's the only way I can tell the difference between a Canadian and American accent. The Canadians definitley say 'out', 'about' and 'house' (words with 'ou' in them).. more like the way the Scots say them. Slightly more 'clipped' sounding and less drawn out..

  • @Torkgasmicgirl8 I have never met anyone say out and about like that

  • @MssWiggly ...No they don't say it like it is said in this video...that was terrible.. but they do say it differently than someone from the U.S. - I can always tell the difference between Canadian/American accents.

  • @thelastwitch technically it's an eastern European Jewish dialect, using hebrewised German words.

  • @teachbeg - Jewish language.

  • Can someone tell me what Yiddish is?!

  • CHIKEN! XD

  • @Trishhbaby we Americans dont mean to offend anyone really, ( unless one of us is a huge jerk). Most of it is stereotypes from movies we see and stuff like that. And sometimes we have never been to or met someone from one of those places. I'm sure other places have stereotypes about America too. So on behalf of all Americans, I apologize for us sounding like humungo gits

  • Chicken!

  • Hysterical!

  • Rubbish! Haha!

  • way uptown!..........Brooklyn! xD haha really??

  • ' why did I say chicken ? ' xD

  • Lol. I'm English and I had to grin at that one. Jolly ho. *snort*

  • I'm australian and no- one says 'lets put another shrimp on the barbie'

  • Canadian accent was perfect!!! Lol

  • lol we canadians dont talk like that XD

  • Currently puking at the self-centered-ness of my fellow Canadians. Don't you realize that ALL the accents done here are gross generalizations and stereotypes of these places. Yet you don't see 50% of the comments here that are Australians going "Those americans have no idea how we speak! PAY ATTENTION TO US!!! pleaaaase!"

Sure, not all Canadians say "oot and aboot" or eh. But not all Australians say 'put another shrimp on the barbie!" or not all Swedish ppl shop at Ikea. Lets get over ourselves.

  • @darkaura0 I agree! I'm Canadian and I think its Hilarious! I mean, who cares its just a game!

  • I love meryl streep. She's so talented.

  • are you being a rapper?...50 CENT!! haha

  • lol this is hillarious

i should be studing, instead i've been watching ellen's videos for the last two hours

  • Gotta LOVE Meryl!

    "Poor Australia." LMAO!

  • Do Canadians really talk like that?

  • @nerdzRawesome1 no lol

  • @nerdzRawesome1 definitely don't. Americans always have the WORST impressions of us. and for the record, we don't say "eh" either. i was born and raised in Canada and have never heard anyone speak the way Americans think we do :S

  • THEY ROCK!!!

  • CHICKEN!

  • LOL Meryl doing the Bronx is the funniest thing I've heard all week.

  • American's have such a screwed up view of English people! :p

  • I can see why some Canadians are getting a bit edgy about this, put yourself in their shoes for a sec. I know it's just a game and all but the misrepresentation of the Canadian accent has been going on for ages and some do get annoyed because this isn't the first time this has happened to them. They're just trying to make the point that not all Canadians say 'out' and 'about' differently.

  • @SuperSerum114 Preach it sister!

  • @SuperSerum114 thaaaank youuuu!

  • we Canadians dont sound anything like that lolololol

  • @MokoLime yes you do.

  • @Skreechchannel lawl not even i admit possibly the EH? and a few stereotypes perhaps? or maybe i just cant hear myself that could be one thing.. it's all about how people perceive you as when it come to accents. so you could be right who knows it's all good though. :)

  • why dont they ever put the new zealand accent on there :(

  • that is a terrible australian accent

    hahah

  • omg meryl is SOOO funny and nutty

  • Australians are not like that and we don't call it down under that's kinda a name everyone else gives to us

  • Ellen: Are,Are u bein' a rapper? 50 Cent!

    Hahahaha!

  • stupid americans sad........

  • Meryl sounded like JLO lol with the Bronx

  • Ahah, out and about. Nobody actually says that....the only time I ever hear it is when Americans say it. ;)

  • Lol none of actually talk like that in england hahaha :) it's soo funny how american's always do it like that hahahaha

  • I can't believe how bent-out-of-shape some Canadians are getting here. They're just playing a game. Don't get me wrong, I get the inferiority complex. Canada's a sweet country. It's like your retarded cousin you see on Thanksgiving and sort of pat him on the head. You know, he's nice but you don't take him seriously. That's Canada

  • Hahahaha as an aussie it's interesting learning all the different US accents. Bronx was hilarious!

  • Ellen's Australian accent sounded Indian!

  • OH GOD that was the funniest thing i have ever seen in my life! ahahaha! I would have NEVER gotten one right! :P

  • this is why meryl is an AMAZING actress

  • funny!! :)) :D HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • The bronx, was, the, FUNNIEST, THING, I , HAVE, EVER, SEEN. nuff said. xD

  • omg... when Australia came up Ellen always said my wife is from there but in this time she can't

  • yo i'm tryna tell ya sumthn.. :DDDDDD

  • What did she say qhen she does Bonston accent??

  • Haha that is not English :)

  • Lol do us aussies sound Scottish lol XD

  • I'm English and I've never said 'Jolly ho' in my life.. :D

  • @DinnerOnTheFloor Maybe you should start.

  • @DinnerOnTheFloor im Canadian and i dont say eh at the end of every sentence, or ABOOT or OOT , whats your point?

  • @PolishAnimeFreak15 Merely making an amusing observation on what other nationalities may believe that the English say. Do I need to have a 'point'?

  • @DinnerOnTheFloor No I just meant that everyone has things people think they say and i have no idea where im going with this

  • @DinnerOnTheFloor I have :)

  • Hahahaha "Why'd I say 'chicken'?"

  • Seriously Ellen "English" rotfl! Both of these ladies had me laughing my arse off. All the accents were terrible. They're too adorable though. Love them both.

  • Wow, u canadians need to chill the fuck out obout how they got your accents wrong. No one gives a fuck!!

  • @chillaman35 so why bother comment about it?

  • Man I wish they had more time!!!

  • haha ´´ Well my head must be too big'' lol

  • omfg i could watch this all day

  • Ok i am canadian and i don't talk like that

  • Meryl is so cute.! Luv her Bronx accent.! Made me lauqh Haha!!

  • I love her xD

  • New York dropped "R" = Awww. Boston dropped "R" = Ahhh. Furthermore, NY = Round MA = Flat.

  • "well, my head must be too big"

    lol

  • Ellen-jolly go my tally ho"

    Meryl-tea uh chicken hahaha

  • Oh god , the Bronx accent was hillarious

  • lol, thats not what canadians sound like :P

  • Yo, I'm tryn'a tell you somethin'! LOL! LUV U, MERYL!

  • That was not an Australian accent... LOLs

  • :55 - Priceless. Fucking love Meryl Streep.

    "Ahhhuhhh......."

  • How is that a Canadian accent?? I love Meryl and everything, but us Canadians don't sound like that!

  • @meow98woof I know right? But I don't get mad, I just think it's hilarious that everyone thinks we talk like that!! I mean, some of the maritimers kinda talk like that though...

I can't believe Meryl Streep didn't think of "maple syrup" when she was doing the Canadian accent!

  • I'm canadian and I always get mad when people make fun of our accents ... I don't even talk like that. I speak normal

  • LOL

  • ellen thinks brooklyn is uptown....Lol

  • She actually sounds Northern Irish when she does Canadian. And Ellen's Aussie sounds Scottish.

  • Dudeeee, Ellen is totally cheating at 00:51

  • @SofiiixD haha, yeah =D

  • Jolly ho my tally ho? pahahaha

  • As soon as I saw this I knew it would cause a riot for some of the Canadians

  • Amen to that @happylandpatients

  • what did ellen say when she was doing the English accent?(I'm Italian...)

  • To all the Canadians complaining: THEY'RE PLAYING A GAME. The whole point is to use over-exaggerated stereotypes, otherwise they wouldn't be able to guess!

Besides, there ARE some Canadians who talk like that, even if most of them don't. Just like how the stereotypical American accent tends to be a southern 'cowboy' one, although hardly any Americans actually talk like that.

  • MOSST CANADIANS dont say aboot we MOSTLY say about like anyAmericans. We ALL DONT ALWAYS talk about the weather, and we dont always say eh.

  • @happylandpatients What's your point? I'm English and I've never said "tally ho" except when taking the piss pretending to be posh.

It's just a stereotype that makes the game easier :P

  • i can watch this over and over...

  • 50 cent! lol

  • Yikes. That's not a good boston accent.

  • Canadians don't say 'out and about', they never did, I never heard it. Where do y'all Yanks think y'all Canucks say that y'all ?

  • @stayjit1 Have you ever watched Degrassi? All they say is oyut and abut.

  • yo i'm tyring tell you somethin

  • no actually i they dont i am from Newfound land

  • Worst British Accent Ever.

  • chicken HAHA

  • No We don't talk like that, we talk just the same as an American to me

  • The bronx accent was such a cute fail on her part. Love her.

  • Do the Canadians really speak like that ? Cause I'm going to spend three month there and it's... Well can't explain but ...

You know what I mean ?

  • @OoHuddyoO no.. we dont speak like that.. we dont really use "eh" either..

  • @theTreeandC

Have you spoken to every single Canadian? By saying "we" you are basically implying that you can represent the country's entire population of people...

Anyways, some people do actually speak like that though. However, I find it's more common in the Maritime provinces :P

  • this was cute, her boston one lol
