I was looking for some music to inspire me while I wrote a MLP fanfic that involved an evil carnival. I type in "evil carnival" on youtube, and get something from a brony. And it fits what I need perfectly.
The story behind this song, as you mentioned, sounds VERY like CarnEvil. CarnEvil is an arcade shooting game like House of the Dead, specifically Carnival themed. In the graveyard in October you would a headstone with a carving of a twisted clown on it and a token underneath the head in a coin tray. If you feed the clown a token, CarnEvil rises out of the Graveyard and attempts to take you. To get out, you have to make it through the Ferris Wheel, Haunted House and Boardwalk sections of the park
@psychgoth Can you please tell me where you got the Calliope VST?! I use FL Studio as well, and I'm trying to create a theme for a carnival-esque villain, and the most I have to work with is the Square Purity synths in the Sytrus VST.
@MrBassRabbit I was using a soundfont that basically works like a cheap midi keyboard. It has a bunch of sounds and "calliope synth" was just one of them. I tried to find a calliope vst but I didn't succeed. /=
im not sure what music style this would fall under but i cant seem to figure it out..i was listening to jack in the box - night time story and am tryin to find more music like it,, regaurdless iv always enjoyed the evil/creepy carnival music :H
Tired story? The market for stories involving scary carnivals and circuses is not exactly saturated. I can find maybe three books on Amazon for adults and one Goosebumps. I was told in HighSchool creative writing class, 20yrs ago, that vampire stories were tired. That did not stop Rice or the Twilight franchise.
Awesome! I love how the bass part is playing at an easy pace while the pipes are going nuts. A note on the bass drum part: I've been told that you're supposed to feel those parts more than actually hear them. It helps distinguish them from the drumkit.
hey, do you mind if i use this for my kinetic typography video?

My friends and I are making an animated series and we were wondering if we could use this tune in our opening theme? We would be sure to credit you.
