Servandovill, i need to ask one more question if it's alright with you. I just finished up a sample of my Sonic Kombat Fatality flash movie of Sonic the Hedgehog's Flash Kick Fatality. Now, I want to show the example on video. Do I need something to convert the flash to a video or do I need to make a GIF to make the video, because I have Sony Vegas Pro and it accepts GIFs.
@MariocyrascoEX i always got that same problem, you can export flash like a .avi that is a youtube extension i dont know if quicktime also but its available to export it as a video. BUT! but! if you used v-cam (vcam is a camera that you can easily move and make shake effects) it wouldnt work, because the export extension of video dosent support ACTIONSCRIPTS. IF you just made a animation without actionscript then if would be excellent.
Then I might need to go to best buy for it. I just downloaded the cs3 version as a practice shot and I have been practicing your movements with examples of Sonic transforming and Espio performing his Tatsumaki attack. Now I just need to make a practice fatality shot and put it on Youtube. If it does work out, then I can make the project on flash. Thanks for all your help.
@MariocyrascoEX okey, since you got this far, i will tell you that when you turn it into a symbol , its better to make it grafic and not movie clip , because with the grafic symbol you can see in which frame the animation is current at that frame, maybe if you see some more tutorials you will understand me

I just got make sure I make a list of character movements, life bars, animated Finish Him!/Her!, Fatality moves, blood, character selections, etc. It's a ton, but I was hoping to save money to buy a flash maker so I can make it. Newgrounds might like the idea of a Sonic Kombat, like I have in my old MariocyrascoII profile and my newly created one on my profile.
@MariocyrascoEX well... newgrounds have a pretty full sprites animations, but if you want sprites, remember that if you get all the animations and import them full to flash, after that , all the animations from there to the future will be easier
@MariocyrascoEX i dont know what you mean by player, but flash cs5 which is the only program that they are actually selling , it can be sell at bestbuy or office depot ,or even in adobe.com like in a digital download which it would like 500 bucks or less i dont remember

I have a question. If I have a bunch of pictures that are in psd file, meaning they use transparency, can I just use those files? Because I draw my own sprites and its easier for me to just use transparent layers from photoshop on my characters. On thise I notices you erased the green backgrounds, so I was just wondering. @tom9153 okey , flash player is what youtube use to play videos , NOTHING to do with this software named flash. this flash have to be pay. if u dont want it, just search in a forum , of technology and search for flash download. flash software is a software for animation and some types of games, and a flash player is what youtube , advertisments and lots of things from internet is made of. i hope this helps, and im not doing this for ur suscription :)
@RavFLYFFblaSonic2pl okey u should know flash! this a tutorial only for sprites , but if u want to make a background move reverse to the running sprite ur using , then u should use something named motion tween, this makes a frame move to a other position and by itself will do it, if u learn flash then u should know what im talking about

@flameramo that means u have just 1 frame , if in a second its 24 frames , then ur just showing 1/24 of the animation , so extend ur frame by clicking f6 or dragging ur frame in the timeline , also if its too fast , change the fps to slower by decreasing the number ,

@AgouraVision you can use paint, but it looks really crappy. its all slow and stuff. the paint is easier, but if you want a really good job like alvin earthworm, you need flash. hope this helped.
this kind of workflow is madness! why not remove the green screen using the effects/filters such as color key, chroma key, keylight, primatte keyer.....???

@servandovill Dude calm down. All I said was pivot was better at certain things. I've seen terkoiz and his stick fights. I know that was made in flash. I've workes with pivot. It certainly isn't slow. Have you even seen an elite pivot animation? There are things in pivot that ARE better in flash! Goddamnit! Pivot has certain qualitites flash doesn't have. Even though it takes ALOT more time to fill and shade and other crap it still is a great program, and best of all for FREE!

OK, let's put an end to the "Pivot is better" or "Flash is better" Pivot is made for beginners. Flash is made for more advanced. But that doesn't mean pivot can't be used to it's fullest. Trust me, some animations out there are better than you can imagine. Flash can allow more "freedom" if you'd call it. The interface is very nice, especially the actionscript and tweening opportunities. I agree, flash IS better than pivot for sprite animations, BUT pivot can be used very VERY greatly.

@Kristofferan okey , answer number 1. the program is named flash cs4, from the site adobe.com , its not free , but you can hacked in any forum site or youtube video.
answer number 2. right button on your mouse in the sprite you want, and save as, then you save it as a jpg. in flash make a new document and import the downloaded sprite image.

@pikachuguy222 this is very freaquently problems on flash, if you going to export it as a video it wont work , but if you exported as a swf. it would work, flash is design for puting videos in swf, and not movie, check where it says "format" when you click export as a movie and change that to swf, and open it and it will work good

@servandovill watch mine the first was made with paint the second one with pivot (i was a beginner)(i cant upload ep 3 because internet is bad) and this flash thing is not free also flash is for newgrounds and pivot for youtube i look for the easy way lol

@masterkike1 maybe u should do that , pivot is just for animationg sticks basics , thats all , u can use flash because ur brain cant take that much of information to make it use , u have that issue that u prefer pivot , so u should try flash and use it

Two questions:
1. What program did you use, and how did you get it?
2. Why is it that whenever i download sprite sheets they are either in jpg format or only shows in my web browser. Either way, I'm unable to copy the chars.

@Kristofferan okey , answer number 1. the program is named flash cs4, from the site adobe.com , its not free , but you can hacked in any forum site or youtube video.
answer number 2. right button on your mouse in the sprite you want, and save as, then you save it as a jpg. in flash make a new document and import the downloaded sprite image.

@786Mafiaz see the video.... its pretty self explanatory, you convert the image to pixels (showed in the video) and just seleect the background and click delete and thats all...

@pikachuguy222 this is very freaquently problems on flash, if you going to export it as a video it wont work , but if you exported as a swf. it would work, flash is design for puting videos in swf, and not movie, check where it says "format" when you click export as a movie and change that to swf, and open it and it will work good

So? Animating the type of animations you're animating doesn't need some advanced tool. Sprite movies have sprites, and not complicated graphics.
