@isminnedir001 After you get the dds into that folder you made, you need to rename it to the DEFAULT skin

like say the default warwick skin file is

warwick.dds, rename the skin you want to the default, so when you select the default, it will actually use the skin file of firefang ww, instead of default ww :D

@JuneishKoutaX3 Yea when i patched it kept giving me an error, i had to reinstall the game. This has never happend before but i suppose its not much of a nuisance.. ive been through many patches without having to reinstall my game due to patching. Maybe its just this particular patch. Nothing bad though. i reinstalled all my skins fine after the patch. Hope this helps

Doesn't work 4 me. Opened the Hero Pak then went and created a Characters Folder in the Data Piece of the Game section. Then I tried to get the Character Twitch By creating a "Twitch" folder, selected it and then Copied and Pasted the kingpin twitch into the folder. After that was finished I renamed the twitch_kingpin.dds to twitch.dds. It still is not giving me twitch when I open LOL

Uhm first of all ur not supposed to open the hero pak Ur only open it temporary just to see what the original names of the folders are and to steal the skin files. also u created the twitch folder in the wrong folder. it appears

steps should be this

C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\game\DATA\Characters <-- make Twitch folder in there then place king pin twitch dds file in the twitch folder, then rename to twitch.dds should work after that. keep me posted

@EnGraVeDNic the hero pak folder is a rar file, rar files can only be opened with a rar file opener, although most modern computers already come with installed rar openers u can download a free one like winzip or winrar off google and install it to open rar folders.

@Nikola645 hey nikola! the hero pak data folder = official folder so dont create anything or tamper with that folder. Create a new folder in game / data/ characters just like that and in that char folder make a new folder that is a char name for Example game / data / characters / annie hope this helped!

i did this with katarina trying to get the referee skin but when i enterd the game it came up as like a red and white blochy person. is it possible that u also have to switch the name of the original dds to the one u want to get?

@Farley1122 uh U get the skin file u want, make a katarina folder in the characters section, u stikc the file in their, then name the file to the original katarina skin , this tricks hte game into thinking that the file u used is actually the default skin file, when infact its not, hoped this helped

@snowmonarch Uh garen original skin name is probably something like garen.dds look in the official garen folder and you should see a simple and plain name like that, hope this helps.

@FR00b2u yes, for example : u have no annie skins and u want the gothic one u follow this tutorial and get gothic annie, and select default skin, Other ppl still see u as default annie, only u see gothic. hope this clears it up !

@FR00b2u nope, This just tricks your client and yours only its a Client side thing. the only way other ppl will be able to see it is if u did it SERVER SIDE trying to hack or bug something serverside is nearly impossible, unless u have access to the server, so as of now no, besides buying the real skin it self =/
