Thank you for posting this marvellous version. The opera was made into a film at Bomarzo, Italy, four years ago with this very same soundtrack. The film's title is "Bomarzo 2007", and it has its own website (the system thoesn't allow me to publish it here)

Very impressive work indeed.  She always rings true, doesn't she? Astonishing talent. A note--you say the work was performed in Portuguese in Washington. I wonder whey they switched to Spanish on this recording? (I assume it is a studio recording) Maybe they thought it would be understandable to a larger audience here in the US?

What an undertaking this must have been for her. Of course, that voice is excellent. I like Ginastera, but I'm not at all familiar with this. Wow! Thank you!

This is a fascinating post. I am not at all familiar with the work or the composer. It must have been a challenge to learn and perform and, of course, Claramae sounds in great form.
