@alwayson09 temporary? What rock have you been living under? This is the start of the collapse of the US. You might want to change direction and move to china.
@alwayson09 Nothing lasts forever. I've been in Vegas since 1992 and things are only getting worse. Las Vegas no longer is needed and Las Vegas becoming a ghost town is not out of the question. It is at least becoming the next Detroit, it served its purpose but the world has bigger and better places to go gamble and have fun.
Because the LV economy is mostly dependent on discretionary spending. Does anyone remember when the pundits actually told people the LV economy would hold up more than elsewhere for casinos would always do well? What inbred idiot wrote that script and does he still have a job?
@Trox118 because the economy is so bad people cant afford to go there. people that live there cant afford to anymore so they move away. people in middle america can gamble at indian and riverboat casinos. its crazy to see how overdeveloped vegas is.
Do you remember about 2005 when tv talking heads were saying Las Vegas was recession proof? Quite possibly the dumbest things ever said on television and some people actually believed it. Now LV and Nevada are among the nation's leaders in unemployment, foreclosures, and property value decreases.
Visited Las Vegas a few years ago and just knew something wasn't right. All that water? I mean come on.
If the global economy ever recovers, the only thing that is waiting to greet America is long overdue inflation. No one will be gambling when filling the fridge and fuel tank costs 40% more.
I would get that old recliner chair and sell it for twenty five cents.
Then I'd go put it in a slot. Then I'd win a jackpot. Then I'd gamble that on one hand of Black Jack, win and have more money. Then I'd do that ten times and retire a millionaire in Vegas as a galloping Jackalope gambling man. It can be done. You can do it too! Be rich and survive any situation by gambling like a critter. Real.
I used to work all over Vegas, especially when I was a pool man. Summerlin used to be "The" neighborhood. for the movers and shakers. I just can't fathom all the projects that are going bust. My wife and I took a vacation to Vegas last year as well and were going to rent a house but the owner was greedy and wanted a huge move in cost because our credit is bad, not because of our monthly income. I bet owners like that are kicking themselves in the ass now!!
Couldn't water the palm trees, going to be expensive to replace them. This kind of stuff drags down the responsible property owners. Shame on them for ripping off the taxpayers.
i came here to see something explode >:-0

Well we are planning on moving there and this is all just temporary, not even worried about it. Las Vegas isn't going to collapse.

What cities in the u.s and the world are replacing Las vegas specifically?

@EWOKCAD
Las Vegas isn't going to disappear, it's just less significant than it used to be. Even late-to-the-party Ohio is opening 4 casinos next year.

Water filtration in 2015.
Silver is widely used to purify water in developing countries,
like China, India and Brazil. This is driving the price of silver up, up & up to $600. an oz in 2011.
What if there was a better way to filter water for a billion people in China?
I have found a free way to filter water.
Just recycle your own urine daily and you will be able to have access to crystal pure water all day, every day, for the rest of your life.
