  • It was a 404 to 6 (Not in favor) Vote

    His vote meant nothing

He spoke out publicly against it

    this video is bullshit

  • I think your criticism is valid and of course you're entitled to express it but I've got to agree with a lot of the other people commenting. Why target someone who was against the bill instead of levelling harsh criticism toward those who were present and voted for it? It's like we're on a plane plummeting toward the ground and instead of yelling at the sleeping pilot, you're busy criticizing a stewardess who hasn't got her uniform tucked in properly. Priorities ...

  • He is supposed to be the guy "leading a revolution" someone dedicated to this would have been PRESENT for this bill and also for FISA which was passed through the Senate. He also won't come out and talk about 9/11. He made $30 million+ dollars is campaign money and decided not to run as independent, and not to run for president at all. Has he given this money OR the MONEY FROM HIS BOOK to help other third party candidates? No. RP is a traitor and I'm sorry you refuse to see that.

  • You busy yourself attacking a man who has done more to wake up the citizens of this country than any other politician and who is right now using what's left of his campaign money to further that very cause. No wonder movements like this never get anywhere; too many jackasses wasting their time attacking those who are on the right side. Why? For not achieving your idea of some kind of God-like perfection? Like I said, man: priorities. Go after the bad guys, not the imperfect good guys.

  • I too was almost sucked into ron pauls charade. he is very clever! the last time i fell for this was bill clinton and it took me over a year before i figured it out. with ron paul- i saw the lie in less than a month.

perhaps i am getting better afterall.

  • Well take a look at Obama's voting record. Has a record of not voting or showing up for various ones in the senate. This way he can say I didn't vote for this or that.

I'd rather have a flip-flopper than a no voter. Christ, do your jobs you get paid to do. And they want us to vote?!?!

  • obama, mccain, paul, bush, all the same insides, different outer shell..kind of like disgusting candy no one should eat, but will ingest any way because they don't know any better. ughhh...

  • haha you're great.

  • Did you bother finding out why Ron Paul wasn't at the vote? It's well documented what his thoughts are on this bill.

  • I did. I didn't feel him addressing his fellow Reps on Dec 07, 2007 was enough.

  • Has he said why he also didn't show for the FISA amendment which was all over mainstream media news? I am not attacking him, I just don't like these two actions.

  • All I'm saying is that it would be prudent to find out why he was absent before criticizing him for not being there.

I'd say there are many more people far more worthy of being criticized, like the 400+ who actually voted in favor of HR 1955.

A guy real worthy of criticizing is the man with the tenative presidential nomination who shows up for only roughly 50% of his votes.

  • I agree. No criticism, just bringing things to light. He didn't vote on FISA either which was hugely important. I dislike every single candidate so you're preaching to the choir my friend. :)

  • Ron Paul - HR 1955 (Now S. 1959)

    An Attack On Internet Freedom

    12-6-7

Note also - Ron Paul was one of only TWO Congressmen who voted against this second enormous attack on internet freedom and your rights in general. The House Vote was 409 to 2. Not one Democrat opposed the ludicrously-named 'SAFE Act.' Two Republicans did: Rep.

Ron Paul, the libertarian-leaning presidential candidate from Texas, and Rep. Paul Broun from Georgia. The Congress still refuses to read, honor the Constitution.

  • and who are you? No one. Ron has gathered millions around the world and awakened people to unite anf fight for their freedom. What have you done? Played with youtube? wake up

  • O and check your facts. Ron paul was one of 2 Congressmen who VOTED AGAINST THIS ACT. This video is a flat out lie. The other Congressmen was from Georgia

  • A flat out lie? Wow. You are something special. Why would I lie about this? I am stating a simple truth. He also wasn't present for voting on FISA which passed. Why am I being attacked for merely showing people what happened? It's called accountability, some people may not know this info. They will look up his response to this (if they are wise) and see he has commented on why he didn't show up.I can't believe how fanatical RP supporters can be, bashing the same people who stand by their side.

  • The SAFE ACT was HR 3791. Kudos to him for standing up 2 months later, and a year later not voting against the most important Act that affects our communication freedoms... FISA.

  • P.S. So MANY voted for the SAFE act (Securing Adolescents From Exploitation-Online Act of 2007) because it has to do with child pornography and exploited children. Yes, the majority were misled, but I read the bill and it has provisions to make sure people aren't spied on just for the hell of it.

  • Important day? you notice everyone voted yes? You sir are completely full of it. The world fell apart because Ron didn't show to a sham of a vote. Wake up fool. Who you like? Obama? Cheneys cousin Obama? CFR member Obama? My bet is Obama would have voted yes just like McCain did. Ron paul stands for Liberty like you could never understand with this garbage. You people are fools for trying to down talk Ron Paul with all the fighting he's done for our Constitution.

  • RP supporters are so quick to attack without reading any of my other comments. I dislike everyone running for president. And who am I? Someone who if I had an illustrious career like RP would be the president.

  • Fighting for our Constitution? FIGHTING FOR IT? Where's habeus corpus (fair trial), where's our freedom to use the internet or phone without fear of being listened to, where are our clear skies, where's our 4th amendment, where is our right to assemble and protest without fear of being detained, beaten, or put on a terrorist watch list, where is our right to vote on where our military goes and why? I am not against his mission, he could have done more. You know it and I know it. Open your eyes.

  • wake up!

  • Politics should not be a damn game where you get to play if you have money and friend in high places. Politics should not be about pandering to a side to stay in office. POLITICS should be about TAKING THE *MORAL/HUMAN OBLIGATION* TO UPHOLDING FREEDOM FOR YOUR FELLOW CITIZENS WHILE ENSURING BASIC NECESSITIES AND SAFETY.

We have never had that, no one running can give us it. We as a nation, as a people must band together and take what's rightfully OURS.

  • We need to get rid of the 2 part fascist system. Every man and woman should stand on their OWN GROUND, not just lean left or right republican or democrat. I am tired of the standard hamburger or hotdog BS. I don't like ANYONE running. It's a wash. Here comes martial law if we don't take a stand.

  • I never said anything about K's party. I would like to have seen RP raise some hell like K. has, but he hasn't. You and I have the same ideals I feel, but I don't see RP as a savior like so many do. We all have it in us to rebuild this nation

  • Ready to move on? I understand the message needed to get out there, and I agree... but I never thought Ron Paul was the right man. He didn't put in all he had enough even though his campaign and book sales made millions. He took the spotlight away from people like Bob Barr who did not have the types of funds RP had access to.

Impeachment is still on the table. There has been no trial yet. If we can impeach a man for perjury we can impeach another for war crimes. Let's stop being passive.

  • Where is RP? Reaping the benefits of his best selling book, not officially running for president anymore, AND having his own $16 concert in September with Aimee Allen. The only person at that little festival with any credentials is Jesse Ventura.

  • I have a bad feeling about him to be honest with you. Kucinich was running, denounced the bill, AND voted against it. Kucinich is in the spotlight at the DNC screaming, ranting and raving about liberty and how we shouldn't give up our freedoms. Kucinich is trying to get Bush impeached so we don't live in a police state with our future master McBama. BOB BARR (the Libertarian official candidate) testified in that hearing also.

  • It's all about principle, my friend. You must stand against the dragon-- even if you fail you are still valiant. Ron Paul was also missing for Vote 437: H R 6304: Fisa Amendments Act of 2008. I like a lot of what RP does but there is always room for thorough investigation.
