  • thx for the reviews harley your explanations help me determine wat comics to spend my check on sorry to hear that u hav no interest in spawn hes my favorite

  • Well like I said I like him when hes in other peoples books fine, I'm just opposed to McFarlanes weaselly practices and refuse to put money in that dirtbags pockets.

I liked the cartoons quite a bit!

I enjoyed the Grant Morrison run on the book, the Dave Sim ish, Frank Millar ish , and the Gaimen work.

But really when your ego so ahead of yourself that you think you can screw a guy like Gaimen, you deserve to have people like me not buying your books!

  • I agree with you completly, His Work Withe the big two was amazing but Hes a hypocrite. Todd Mcfarlene complains because marvel fucked with him apparantly, So he goes and starts his own company so he can give it out instead of recive it. The only good thing to come out of image on a solid basis latly are the Robert Kirkmen Creator owned titles.

  • So far its on track and just and maintaining the quality IMO!

  • Awesome reviews! I loved the first series of Umbrella Academy, I got #1 of this new series but I think Im going to honestly wait for the trade.

That Atmosphere book sounds really interesting!

  • Not a crazy idear!

The 1st series TPB left out all the cool extra in the comic, but there is none of that in this series to be left out.

    Worth the wait IMO.

  • Indeed, I have the first series in TPB and a few of the single issues. Definatly should be worth the wait if its anything like as good as the first volume, which I think it most definatly will be!

  • happy new years Hartley!!! I was wondering if you've ever read Ellis's Planetary, the title is on image and has been released in 3 trades. I think its a great story. Do you know if he will ever finish the last issue? it's goin on almost 3 years now and i'm feening for an ending already.

  • You know I've been reading the series since ish #1, and whereas it used to be one of my favorite reads its lost ALL of its momentum IMO.

I'd actually thought the series was finished, but am glad to hear otherwise as the last ish seemed extremely anti-climactic.

At this point, I'm a pretty much just waiting for the TPB so I can read the ending all at once.

Its a Wildsorm book btw, not Image and is under the DC umbrella as Jim Lee sold Wildstorm to DC roughly a decade ago.

  • Yeah, the whole Planetary issue....

    WE'RE WAITING FOR AN ENDING!!!

  • Do u read spawn? what do u think about the new story and about the new spawn character that is going to be?

  • I have no interest in Spawn really.

I hated McFarlanes idea right off the bat as it was clearly just a amalgamated rip-off of Mage, Batman, Spider-Man, with a hint of Swamp Thing.

Theres been some good issues throughout the years, and I like his choice in writers BUT:

McFarlane steals ideas, stories and characters from other sources making money off em claiming that it was all him.

His original co-writer created the back-bone of Spawn and then was dumped seeing no credit and not a cent.

  • quick release!

    very nice man!
