Once there was a band , and once there was a sound once there was a face the singer's name was mark with such face so round and fair robinson his last name is once there was their fame and disbanded now though our hearts never quite left in unrest . I love unrest and always will such fond memories of hanging out at record stores masturbating , goin to shows listening to pavement , unrest , ride and the roses doing nothing , living nothing quickly but so so sweetly . jcr.
damn, this band was my life in the 90s. i would love to have mr krauth teaching me some english. mr krauth had some fine solo material too. cape may was the jam.
True Love Always were a really good teenbeat band, super catchy like old Promise Ring stuff.. I live in richmond, va so I used to have close access to teenbeat shows between here and DC. Never got to see Eggs though. They used to play Richmond a bit, I hear.
@cuentainex It's pretty cool! (By the way, I am from Colombia -South America- so maybe you can tell him the unexpected places where Unrest was listened and beloved).
Best rhythm guitar track ever? Only competition is "Kennedy" by The Wedding Present (and the whole Velvet Underground back catalogue.......). Great to see this after so many years....
anyone remember Eggs or Blast off Country Style? those were two good teen beat bands mr. robinson signed to teenbeat when he still lived here in virginia.
back in the day i used to play music with this girl who volunteered at TeenBeat for a while. one of the members of Blast off Country Style was often at the headquarters....was her name Gretchen?? anyway she's supposedly really nice. Eggs/Andrew Beaujon were great. never had enough of their recordings....
@KISSMikePEZ hoping Eggs' Exploder album will get "rediscovered" as a lost classic soon. I thought it was classic the moment it came out, but... yeah, seriously, why wasn't that album huge? also: unrest are amazing.
I used to love this song!!! Robinson always looked a little disturbed, but he was still great! Perfect teeth was a good album. I also liked how the girl sang too. I only wished that she could have sang a little more on some of the other songs. Thanks for posting this!!!
amazing. only saw this once on 120 minutes. but I did get to see them w Stereolab in 93 or 94.. I cant remember now.. Somewhere I have a vhs video copy of the show. need to find that..I've been waiting for this to show up on youtube the site has been lacking in early 90's indiepop..
Unrest is such a great band. And the drummer, Phil Krauth, is my IB English teacher this year. It is hard to imagine that this was his past, but it is so amazing.
IB is tough. I wish I could take AP but my dad wants me to take IB. But yeah, Krauth refuses to talk about him being in a band. He is a pretty cool (and sometimes weird) guy. And he is kickass when he plays (drums or guitar)at our talent shows.
I love the "Valley of the Dolls" mobile...nice touch.

Ahhh....Perfect Teeth. THE sound track for 1993. Always admired the fact that they didn't use guitar effects, power strumming is the Unrest sound.

Ah, it's been SOOO long since I heard this awesome ditty. Such a great jangly sound - humerous yet serious. Rock on!!!
