yup, i knew someone who got stabbed in the abdomen by one once, pierced like three major organs and he had to get a bunch of transplants, my grandfather gave me one of the nose pieces off of one of those suckers once, ill tell you i wouldn't want to stabbed by one, its actually like a sword, except its a bone type thing instead of metal.

I'm pretty sure movie geeks lisence says the same as mine "swordfish longline/harpoon" It's not the best of 2 fisheries. It's 1 fishery with the option to take the fish the best way they know how. That's why a longline/harpoon is more expensive to buy than a shitass harpoon lisence that there are hundreds and hundreds of. You have no point orions other than proving your jeolousy. You want a lisence that is worth something go buy it like moviegeeks father and myself had to do!!

you do if your a longliner because you and other longliners use the harpoon quota first then go on your on quota so the harpoon quota gets caught first ,if you got a longline quota then you shouldnt be sticking go longlining like you use to.......

sorry buddy but i think you are a bit confused. The two quotas are entirely seperate. Harpooners decided a few years back that they wanted their own quota and they got it, just not a lot. The rest of the quota was divided amongst the other licenses. By other i mean the ones that allow you to either, go drailing, set longline gear or go harpooning and our quotas are set in stone, and have nothing to do with the harpooning fleet. Hopefully this helps you understand the situation

we did go longlining for swords in the past but fuel prices and low fish prices mean that its impossible to make money with such high expense. So, we will catch out fish the best way we know how and in a manner that best fills our pockets... i'm sure the harpooners would appreciate your concern but you should really get more informed before you run your mouth or fingers in this case, it makes you look stupid. Maybe some good came of it, i'm sure your not the only ill informed character around

quotas are assigned to individual licenses and we have a license, longline or harpoon and drailing, that we are fishing on. We don't have anything to do with the harpooners quota
