Sally Kern has long been racist, ignorant and just plain stupid. Yet she is still there, of course this means the people that keep voting for her are all of the above as well.
Oklahoma....yup. And as a Texan I thought we had it bad.
@liberalcynic thanks for uploading this, this is just a tiny bit exposure of problems within gop! and bless rachel maddow for keep speaking truth to empower.
Please, please, please....don't let think that this woman speaks for all Oklahomans. As a Republican, I am humiliated by this, and as a human I'm ashamed.
@turner7229 I'm a political science student from Australia at the ANU, I don't know how any one could be a Republican. it's to me the party of corporations and the racist, far-right Christian fringe
I know it doesn't look good, but PLEASE don't blame the whole state for one representative of a small constituency. Everyone I know is embarrassed and appalled by this so-called woman...
She is racist to the core. But she is not the only one. When Gov. Scott Walker got caught on the phone with a fake Koch brother saying that this is their time. This is what they meant. That they have enough people (racist) elected to office that they can openly push their racist agenda. This is why it's so important to pay attention now. These people are making their move and they are very dangerous to everyone's freedom. These are people like Hitler. They are monsters and must be stopped.

She is racist and more than a few have made it into elected government. This is why it' so important right now to pay attention. Because when Gov. Scott Walker was caught on the phone with a fake Koch brother saying this is their time, this is what they meant. That they have enough racists elected to office and that have infilterated the court system that we can now openly push our racist agenda. That's why you saw a confederatecelebration a couple weeks ago. These things are all connected.

You can also be a member of the KKK and not get kicked out of a major political party . . . as Robert Byrd proved for waaaaaaaaay too many years. (But we won't mention him, because he was a dem.)
@InvestigatorDave we dont mention him because unlike Sally Kern, he changed, and to some, never even was like that. he just fell into the wrong crowd.
@dsjj251 "Never even was like that" and "He just fell into the wrong crowd"? Really? That would describe someone who attended one meeting and realized the group wasn't for him. Byrd attended many meetings and was in "management" as a Grand Cyclops (which gave him the responsibility of recruiting new members). This was before and during his senatorship.
@InvestigatorDave actually, it is you who should check your facts, What you just wrote is more than likely based on some gossip site, when as Byrd himself said he stop his membership be fore he even ran for US representative which if you didnt know, was before he ran for Senate, meaning it discredits your "during his senatorship" statement.
dont tell some one to check their facts when you didnt check your own
@dsjj251 While you were researching Byrd's biography, did you also see that he was more than just a little involved with KKK? Did you see that he didn't just stop by for a cup of coffee at one of their meetings? Did you see that he was pretty deeply entrenched. My guess is that you did see that, or you would have tried to disprove that part of my comment too.
BTW, of course Byrd said he got out B4 running. Truth is different though.
@InvestigatorDave your truth is based on your opinion, there for that is all it is, an opinion, and Yes. i saw the part about him being an Exalted Cyclops( which means recruiter), it looks like you didnt know what that title actually meant, because if you did, then you wouldnt have even mentioned it, since he did start a chapter of the KKK, that would be his title. he also said he joint for them being anti-Communist.
@dsjj251 OK. Byrd was in the KKK, and was more than just a member, and did some recruiting, and started a chapter of the KKK -- but as long as he did it for good reasons, well, then that is OK.
Some pretty strong anti-Communists would also include Ronald Reagan and Joe McCarthy, but I'm unaware of either of those men joining the KKK. And they were R's -- which is supposed to be filled with racists. Hmmm. Well, as long as Byrd hated commies, I guess it's OK that he supported KKK, huh?
@InvestigatorDave racism does not have a Party affiliation. i didnt say Byrd joining the KKK was right, I just said i see his reason and i dont think it was a racist one(backwards, yes)
you can recruit once you get in the army after you finish basic training, you can start a chapter of most organizations just by applying and paying a start up fee, so your whole argument is based off of what is considered the second lowest tier of the organization.
@dsjj251 "Racism does not have a party affiliation." -- You'd never know that after listening to Maddow in this clip, would you?
Byrd joined a racist group, but you don't think he joined it for racist reasons? You could be right. Maybe he just joined for the yummy cookies they serve after meetings. I doubt it, but maybe.
One rarely joins or organizes a chapter of any group it doesn't support. I, for instance, have never done either for KKK due to non-support. You?
@InvestigatorDave LOL at "you", as a black person, if i walked in the door of a KKK recruitment center, i doubt i would walk out,LOL. but with that said, there was a point in history where communism was scary to many people and groups like the KKK did offer an outlet for that. as you conveyed(although in a joking way) I could be right, and so could you.
I just think its more likely he joined for his Communist hatred since their is no evidence to the contrary.
@dsjj251 I'm sure you're right. He joined for the hatred of communists -- not because the KKK has always been and is still known primarily for its hatred of blacks. Why remember all the crosses the KKK burned in the yards of commies, and all the commies they lynched? No? Probably because it was hatred directed primarily at blacks, making them a racist org. But it is possible that Byrd wasn't at any of the meetings when that was brought up.
@InvestigatorDave primarily directed at black people is not the same as ONLY directly at black people. the KKK attacked Catholics as well as anyone see as a initiator of Communism among other things.
And i never said that he wasnt at the meetings, You are acting ignorant to the argument by trying to act like everyone who joins the KKK did it for racial reasons, hell republicans have a strong Gay support group but most elected ones campaign against their life styles.
