She is racist to the core. But she is not the only one. When Gov. Scott Walker got caught on the phone with a fake Koch brother saying that this is their time. This is what they meant. That they have enough people (racist) elected to office that they can openly push their racist agenda. This is why it's so important to pay attention now. Byrd attended many meetings and was in "management" as a Grand Cyclops (which gave him the responsibility of recruiting new members). This was before and during his senatorship.

Did you see that he didn't just stop by for a cup of coffee at one of their meetings? Did you see that he was pretty deeply entrenched. My guess is that you did see that, or you would have tried to disprove that part of my comment too.

BTW, of course Byrd said he got out B4 running. Truth is different though.

@dsjj251 OK. Byrd was in the KKK, and was more than just a member, and did some recruiting, and started a chapter of the KKK -- but as long as he did it for good reasons, well, then that is OK.

Some pretty strong anti-Communists would also include Ronald Reagan and Joe McCarthy, but I'm unaware of either of those men joining the KKK. And they were R's -- which is supposed to be filled with racists. Hmmm. Well, as long as Byrd hated commies, I guess it's OK that he supported KKK, huh?

you can recruit once you get in the army after you finish basic training, you can start a chapter of most organizations just by applying and paying a start up fee, so your whole argument is based off of what is considered the second lowest tier of the organization.

One rarely joins or organizes a chapter of any group it doesn't support. I, for instance, have never done either for KKK due to non-support. You?

@InvestigatorDave LOL at "you", as a black person, if i walked in the door of a KKK recruitment center, i doubt i would walk out,LOL. but with that said, there was a point in history where communism was scary to many people and groups like the KKK did offer an outlet for that. as you conveyed(although in a joking way) I could be right, and so could you.

I just think its more likely he joined for his Communist hatred since their is no evidence to the contrary.

Why remember all the crosses the KKK burned in the yards of commies, and all the commies they lynched? No? Probably because it was hatred directed primarily at blacks, making them a racist org. But it is possible that Byrd wasn't at any of the meetings when that was brought up.
