  • @msqtube I bet you drive a honda civic, and as far as you running the wheels off of a 280zx with a cosworth vega, maybe in your dreams but thats about it. Also, the first 5.0 mustangs only had 157hp compared to the lighter 280zx turbo's 185hp. I bet you feel pretty stupid right now dont you?

  • He is so fucking cool

  • man the 80's were cheese ...... but i loved them! i miss my z's

  • Did the voice-over guy fall asleep? "You sell the apples, I'll sell the zzzzzzzzzzzz"

  • it's original, it's awesome indeed

  • all that money and thats the stinky brick he wants to drive?

    doubt it.

  • @msqtube at 43 you should remember that era of cars. sad to say but it was one of the best of the time. not as good as the original z, but it was a horrible time for cars ALL cars.

  • @bigpapatube oohh yes, I remember them, and the mighty stink they made trying to get out of the parking lot.I also remember running the wheels off them with my unmodified cosworth vega. I did pretty good until the 5 liter mustangs came out.

  • I had a 1979 280zx too. It was the EASIEST car to work on that I have ever owned! I bought it with 150k on it and drove it another 70k. I replaced the brakes, clutch, struts, water pump and modified the f.i. system.

That car was great. It's nearly the PERFECT CAR to learn auto mechanics on. America should have been taking notes and the 'Big 3' wouldn't be in the trouble they are in today.

The Z cars and Maximas shared mechanicals as well. Good job Datsun/Nissan.

  • yes but all Z cars rust easily. I don't know why Nissan left bare metal in so many places and the older Datsuns used alkyd enamel probably the worst paint ever made but they were mechanically flawless

  • You'll no get no argument with me there. My car had a TON of rust. Body work is one thing. Redesigning a POS to not be a POS is quite another.

The L 28 would be an interesting engine right now.

  • It was designed and built in America...

  • Really?

OK, see if you can get the same designers working for GM.

The 280zx rear disc brakes pads are as EASY to replace as the Cadillac Eldorado's rear disc brake pads are HARD to replace. The Z takes a little more than an hour, the Eldo is like 5 hours.

Also, WHY is America still making cars with OHV engines and rear drum brakes? Have they finally discontinued that super annoying trend? Can this nonsense of "Live Axle RWD" cars die too?

    That stuff is PLAYED OUT.

    Peace

  • No fucking kidding, man! XD

Live Axle is SHIT. I wouldn't even want it on farm equipment!

Well, really, it'd probably be perfect for that, durability and such, BUT THAT'S WHERE IT WOULD END.

  • Cool car, brilliant guy.

  • This was my very first car back in the early 90s'..19789 Datsun 280zx. It was a total piece of shit...a tin can on wheels. I was rear ended in it and the entire hatchback just got pushed into the back seat and the car practically felt apart afterwards.

  • but if your alive and well after surviving that accident guess Nissan did a good job after all

  • OH MY GOD.... O_O

  • O_o

  • que bueno!

  • LOL! Hey Steve, you sell the Apples. I'll sell the Z's.

  • هههههههههههه وااااال قديم هذا الأعلان

  • cool datsun 1981

  • Cool
