  • i really want to buy one how big of space do you need to fly one and are they worth the money to buy one

  • I found one crashed behind my house but it was filled with spiders

  • I found one crashed behind my house

  • Correction: Trainers can be both electric or gas, and can be "park-fly" or "field-fly". Because in the old glory days of RC there was pretty much all gas until electric came out with horrible NICAD and i think (dont blame me if im wrong) later on NIMH and of course LIPO. Nice video, i would strongly recommend a pilot to buy a DX6i for investments and a Simulator and PRACTICE for a while ~ Tin

  • Hi, do you post to Europe to?? You have a wonderful collection of planes and I would like to purchase one.

  • THIS PLANE WAS A PIECE OF CRAP IT DIDNT EVEN TAKE OFF THE WINGS WERE ALL TORN UP AND THE RUDDER DIDNT EVEN WORK RIGHT!!!

  • @thebeastpilot Try hotglue and tape... and also trying to buy metal gear digital servos. These vendors dont have the best quality shipping nor products but they do work under light modifications. And could you show me a video or situation of your plane? I might be able to know what the problem is. ~Tin

  • Tip for you people. When i charge my batteies I use a time switch what i bought at a local shop voor 10 euros.

  • this is not a beginners plane!------ as soon as you hit the ground the prop. shaft bends and thats a new motor needed!---------get a wild hawk or similar, the prop is out of harms way and the foam construction takes the knocks easily

  • Wild hawk or hawk sky is better for beginners

  • Mine broke first flight. dont buy it if u r a beginner.

  • Hey marc, i just got this plane a few days ago, i flew it today with some moderate wind. It is exellent. The flight sim helped a lot. Your videos were helpful as well. hopefully you put more plane videos up.

  • one big drawback not mentioned, is that a beginner will go through a lot of props. and also motors as when you land the front hits the ground and the prop breaks and bends the motor shaft at the same time. learners should buy a pusher prop plane which has the prop and motor behind the wing so saving any damage.----you have been warned!

  • I heard that a 3-Channel Slope Diver EP is the best trainer for a beginner and besides the body is a plastic type and the wings are hard foam. From i watch it also glides without power for quite some time so you save battery time in turn fly longer.

  • pipers arn't very good your better off getting a second hand super club or get new one they are nicer to train with and easyer to fly pipers are realy bad for beginers which is why no one flys the unless there doing it for a stupid dare

  • thats not a beginers there well hard to fly but awsome for stunts

  • I got it its a peace of crap fucking waste of money.

  • Screw that. I hate fixing foam. I'd take a balsa plane every day and twice on Sunday. Most of the trainers in balsa today can handle crashes much better. The LT 40 for instance, is a fabulous first airplane and will last for years. I am currently still flying mine from 1997. I fly it when I just want to dub around.

  • That plane it trash. If you really want to fly get a top wing trainer that runs on gas! Now that's flying. I have 2 park flyers for just that..Flying at the park!

  • he dosent know anything go watch rcpowers instead and its only lipo that needs watching when charging

  • he dosent know anything go watch rcpowers instead

  • Yo Im probally gunna get this for my B`day but i dont know if it is a good plane... I have SOME experence with r/c planes but would you reccomend this?

  • 8 to 10 minutes can you get a better battery and can you fly longer

  • Thats what this hobby is all about. Sharing your knowledge with others and helping where you can. I do have to say pudd is right, It is extremely dangerous to charge lipos on anything but a good lipo balancing charger. Great vid man! Keep up the good work.

  • hey mark...just an idea for you....instead of cutting off plugs and changing them just make up a short bridge leads using the relavant plugs...that way you can use the charger you want and keep the original plugs on the battery pack and plane. great vids

  • i accidently forgot to unplug the charger on my minit once. it is a two hour charger and i forgot about it and it just sat there and broiled for two DAYS then i remembered it and couldn't unpug the battery from the charger it was so hot so i unplugged it from the wall and an hour later i put it in my mini t and it worked fine. i guess i got lucky.

  • I dont really like this plane. Im perfectly capable of flying an rc airplane and this plane hardly has enough power to get off the ground. It has a carbon 380 brushed motor which is very wimpy..

  • Building them is half the fun!

  • nice piper cub,

it does fly pretty smooth huh?

  • no, it doesnt fly at all.

  • when they say that is not a toy they say that childs or kids cant play with them cuz they can damage themselves, u know with the propeller :/

  • 24,000 views hmmm you should hurry and issue a disclaimer to the 24,000 viewers "when youre piling your lipos into the station wagon that they are not to be adapted to be charged by ANYTHING but a lipo charger - they are be animals if mishandled - but they are the best

  • "Not a Toy"??? Then WTF is it?

  • @stphndxtr he means that it is not for smaller children it is ment for people who understand it about about this hobby not just an expensive oversize toy

  • @poptartpencil Thanks, very helpful...

  • Is it possible to learn to fly without the sim? I will assume this plane will take a lot of crashes before it needs some glue....

  • I suggest you practice with the sim first so you can get the hang of it. There's a lot of beginner planes at nitroplanes . com that you can practice with and are made to withstand minor crashes.

  • Yeah, i intend to buy the Piper Cub J-3, but would not like to spend the extra money on the simulator. I was just wondering if its possible, i myself have some real flying and simulator experience but do not know about rc.

And another question, is the WHOLE piper cub made of foam?

  • Most of it is made of hard foam for crash resistance. The sim helps a lot and you can get the feel for the transmitter. At least you'll have the peace of mind that it doesn't cost a whole lot if you get it from nitroplanes . com. Just go out there and fly.

  • @nitroplanes I have the same and the first flight I broke off the tail than I repaired it and the second flight I flown it without crashes or anything... I you go high enough nothing will happen unless you start turning the sticks like a dumbass

  • @mandolinplayer13 if you crash it, this will break into a million pieces. get something from horizon hobby, it well be a nice clean two piece break.

  • OK.. i fly 4 m sailplanes , for me THATS A TOY!!

  • nicad or nimh is similar to using coal to power your car instead of gasoline

come on lipos are so cheap a couple of dollars

  • Don't bother flying anything with a Nicad or NIMH as your wasting your time. Most are faulty as soon as they leave the factory and have dead spots that even cycling wont fix. Most LHS don't want to know once you buy the plane but will open the door for you to liberate you from your hard earned. Good luck and informative vid cheers.

  • With the stock charger and NiMH batteries: it's like TOAST, when it's WARM, it's DONE. States that in the manual also.

  • i have the same one and it is so easy to fly it is sad but is an excellent and fun flying plane goodluck with yours nuttcaze hope you enjoy it

  • so it´s not a trainer?

  • hey i got the same plane recently and i checked to make sure the battery is charged wit a volt meter cause it said it had 8.8 voltzand its a 8.4 volt battery so i just went to fly it and it has no power cause wen i hand launch it it goes but drops outta the sky shortly after cause its cutting out like its dead and in the manual it says charge for # hrs but the video says 2 can somebody please help a fellow flyer out

  • maybe a bad wire, try wiggling the wires or connector,w/the plane on holding it , maybe a range problem loose antenna? my heli had same prob, bad connector.

  • ahahahhaa, this make me laugh. my first rc plane was better than this tho, but the it broke and i lost interest in it and converted it into a boat, like WTF RIGHT???? eventually it worked. lol

  • piece of crap

get a Sig Kadet best trainer ever

or an e-flite T34 mentor epts has replacement parts

  • People have somthing called a Budget, you know...Not everyone can dish out 150$ on an RC plane.

  • yea, i spent $300.00 on my trainer hanger9 nitro xtra easy w/69 inch wing, only problem is it's to big for the park, and a gallon of cheap fuel is $15,$20. a good cheap plane i liked was the aerobird's they start at about $60-$70 on up and hobby shop has the planes and parts.

  • best plane yak 54, ha ha not a trainer though. nitro

  • piece of crap

  • ¨how much that cost??

  • you have no idea about the charging rate. if you use the charger you will need to have plug in more than only two hours and if any thing just feel if the batteries warm then unplug

  • nice man , my first plane 2. its a really nice model take care of it , if you want to you could buy the hobbyzone super cub. it has slightly more power and size i just got one and theyre great to as an secound plane . check my video... just type in pilot bluescan92 in youtube !! take care !

  • Thanks for the vid. I'm looking at getting a starter plane and was thinking about this one or something very similar.

  • electrafun ep!!! there the best best! trainers i ever used dont waste your time an money one these sorts of planes once u crash them u might as well thro em out

    electrafun xp

  • great but the are sooooooooooo expensive and u can never expect soething has gon wrong in post or it is a scam not this i got 1 i have had a scam 1 and it had a peice of paper and a big rock in it $370 rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • do urself a a favor either buy a different prop ask for the one parkzone version uses and maybe that will fly or change to brushless motor and different prop.

  • im thinking about purchasing one of these. is it good for someone whos just a beginner at flying?

  • This is a great beginners plane to start off with. Make sure to start off with the flight simulator before actual flight

  • a sim is not very real its better to just buy a begginer plane

  • You have no idea what you are saying! A sim is the BEST way to start flying!

  • Yes get a sim if you dont know the basics of flight and perspective but if you do just get a plane

  • Not only the basics. Some sims are really bad, like FMS... But i learned almost all aerobatics and 3D maneuvers on Realflight, and it really helps A LOT!

  • Ok that makes sense i might get one just to perfect things

  • ok i dont care f**k you!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • fuck u too idot , rc is the best hobby ever , moron.

  • hehe I never tried any sim, my first plane was an extreme lowa ratio homemade

3d foamie or pancake, and I controlled it first time alone with no crash at all, I was so scared from everybody, man airplanes are cheesy.. helis are kill

  • helis are cool and all but people have different poragitives......i think scale helis are pretty sick...

  • cool

  • Is it possible to add ailerons and use my DX7 with it?

  • Sweet
