That hairdo brings out her class! She looks near perfect with it! I think this was her most beautiful period. And, when I look at her in clips from then, I think that she's got to be one of the most attractive---if not THE MOST attractive---woman I've ever seen! So, as silly as it may seem for a mere hairstyle to make that much of a difference, it really, really does. Especially on her.
I love Maggie Smith---in fact, I think she's my very favorite actress! But, I don't like her in this movie (or during this whole period) because I can't stand her with that hairdo! Don't get me wrong, it's not that she really looks bad, it's just that style and do doesn't exude any of the maturity and class that I associate her with.
