@MLyNN06 Yep, I painted them all with leftover interior paint from another room. I bought them at the thrift store, it was under $15 for all of them and the mirror.

I want to do this in my master bedroom, but paint the frames really bright colors like teal yellow and pink! I am going to have so much fun with this! most jewelry is like a work of art anyway! I find the best way to store silver is in a padded wooden box,more on the small side,that closes tight,that way less air can get in and the silver oxidizes a lot slowly that it would if it was out in the open.And there is a way to clean up and restore tarnished jewelry - baking soda + water.For jewels without any stones you can just boil them in little water and a table spoon BS,after scrub them with a cotton towel.The ones with stones you scrub with a thick paste of BS and water with a towel

@vnhammons The birdcage came from Claire's. The holder with my extra necklaces is originally intended for ties, I think. This one was unfinished wood when I bought it, but I've seen them with metal things instead of the dowel rods. I liked that I could paint it though.

@coralmaniaful That project was a fail, I didn't have the right kind of needle to be sewing through that heavy of leather. It ended up kinda buckling and I didn't end up finishing the project. I still want that darn thing though, maybe I'll try again with the right supplies.

I love the frame idea. I found an antique frame at a yard sale, but the wood was quite warped. When I placed it against a flat surface, it was very obvious. So I had my dad dismantle it for me, and then I took the two flattest pieces, screwed small hooks along the bottom portions, hung them on the wall, and hung my necklaces from the hooks. =)

I don't know where in the US as I'm not from there, but I know you can buy a "jewellery cleaner", it's a liquid and it'll make tarnished jewellery look like new again when you use it and like a cloth or something to rub it. Just thought I'd let you know in case you were interested. :)

I have a lucky bracelet that somewhat resembles your sheild bracelet and almost all the links were slowly breaking, thankfully my boyfriend welded them back together. Lucky needs to up the of their products, its too upsetting to have some of your favorite peices break on you!
