Is this for GCN or N64? I ask because I know you're using an emulator and the buttons are colored the way they are on the GCN versions. I think the GCN game has an N64 ROM, as it was an N64DD game.

if you get a extra bottle only a kid/adult can use it if its a only for kid/adult(eg:the hookshot will be a bottle only a adult can use).

It can be done on the normal OoT.

so this BA trick give you deku sticks and deku nuts that you need and also sets you up for the second trick? or do you switch back to the sword from the bottle?

After watching several times, I can safely say I almost understand what's going on =/

Is there a way to do the barrier skip with just the items you get in a BA Master Quest TAS? (No hover boots, namely) A video upload would be nice to show how it's done if it's possible at all. Thanks in advance.

^ And where does the fish come from? I looked in all the water in Kokiri Forest, the Lost Woods, and Lake Hylia and I can't find a fish to use for RBA.

There's a pit behind the potion shop in Kakariko. That's where we get it.

There's a similar one just outside Lake Hylia.

-Get the Kakariko Bottle

-Grab the Fenced-in area chicken from the Pen

-Jump in the Pit, get fish and 20 rupees

-Get out, hit chicken and deathwarp

No, no. Watch my cucco route video. During the course of the route, you go in that pit anyway, and that is when you pick up the 20r and Fish.

At the point you don't have a bottle yet though, do you?

oh, dammit, you're right. in that case, we either stop by the pit in Hyrule field, or we just go with bugs. I'll see about how many Deku nuts we actually need. We may be able to get by with just the 5 we get in Jabu Jabu.

Need bombs to blow open the pit in Hyrule Field outside Lake Hylia, unless it's another pit you're talking about. The Ganon Fight needs 10 Deku Nuts too, unless a new method has been discovered. I'm pretty sure a single jumpslash would kill one of the giant babas in Kokiri Forest as an adult. That gives 15 nuts and doesn't take much time at all.

The best bet would probably just be to use bugs, as killing a single Giant Baba takes alot less time than entering a far-flung pit to catch a fish.

wrong pit, but looks like we don't need nuts for ganon after all. Thus, it's back to bugs. However, the only route change for this is that we bottle the bugs from the grass next to Pierre instead of releasing/catching the fish. The rest proceeds as in the video.

How do you kill Ganon without the nuts? I heard something about superliding into the cutscene and keeping the Master Sword, but does that work?

Also, I'm still trying to work on the Ganon's Csatle Trials skip without hover boots, and since the movable Armos aren't there against-the-wall hovering seems like the only option.

And another thing, to save around 10 minutes of beeping, maybe...

-1 HP from the Peahat, putting it in superslide position

-1/2 HP from the fall to the chest in Jabu Jabu (can't remember how much damage that does..probably 1/2)

-1/2 HP somewhere else in Jabu Jabu. (Probably during Lizalfos Fight)

-1 HProlling into the side of the slimy thing, killing you and activating the fairy.

Might be a bit longer than what's done here but if it saves 10 minutes of beeping I'm up for it.

^Oh wait, that wouldn't work, since to get a fairy to appear from the grass, you need to be at one heart. Oh well. Just disregard that.

Supersliding into the cutscene does in fact let you keep the master sword.

Also, I think we've got the trials skip down. We can get an infinite number of bombchus by doing BA with a poe on C-right. We then do the standard no-hover boots hovering method to skip the trials.

Doesn't that require something to force the backflip to get less distance, like the slingshot or bow? Don't tell me we need to get the hookshot just for that :(

And where do we hover to? The same spot in PyRoTHPS's video? (watch?v=T1ATAEE4SqM)

In a speed run, you would use bugs right?

No. Fish give you Deku nuts. Also, it turns out that writing "Empty Bottle" (20) to your songs gives you Zelda's Lullaby and the Nocturne of Shadow (and nothing else). So, we dump out the fish, get the broken sword, and then catch something else for the medallions (probably a bug from the graveyard).

Yes, bugs are fine, but you don't get 20 Deku nuts with Bugs. Thus, we're using fish.

That pit in Kakariko. All pits like that have fish. Since we're getting the 20 rupees anyway, we may as well pick up the fish.

Well, I did use the turbo function on the emulator. As it says in the description, I went for full optimization. Which means yes people, THIS IS A TAS!

Why didn't you use the peahat (or stallchild) to superslide to the lake hylia? (faster and easier on TAS)

I don't like doing superslides, even tool-assisted. Obviously if I ever do a TAS I'll have to, but until then, I won't.
