  • @edurapih exaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaactoooo OwO

  • Very good!Love it. but i miss Mark Stern On drums

  • @ Abraham: I'm one who considers Max Roach to be the greatest ever but if he were to have played "Hey, Pachuco" his solo would have sounded a lot like Glass'. The dance groove was of paramount importance in those jump blues numbers and danceability came first. So much of the drums came from the tom toms that it would have been natural to base the solo on tom tom figures.

  • Back in the day when military drumming was widespread, snare drums were slung over the drummer's shoulder so that the left side was raised higher than the right. To play a drum like that you had to hold the left stick differently than the right (try it with a matched grip some time). As the traditional drum kit evolved it evolved around that grip. Search out Buddy Rich and Ginger Baker on the subject on Youtube.

  • he seems to be self taught o0

    there is no lefty-traditional -grip^^

  • @FoolOfTheWeek

He is a left-handed drum set player, plus I don't believe that there has ever been a drumming rule the establishes that traditional grip is exclusive to the left hand. I believe the reason a lot of drumming whether it be music notation or setups are the way they are is because the influence of right-handed players and people. When looking at rudiments they start with the right hand, nothing is set in stone but that I'd mentioned that.

  • @TheBeto im not like the master of drum history but i think there IS a rule, because in marching drum all had to look the same and so they didnt tolerate another grip. So what he plays is actually not the traditional grip. Not that it matters, its just a very strange thing for a pro drummer, because noone will teach u that.

  • this is how you play the drums.

  • I don't blame him for not having the real DW lugs!!! haha they are ugly

  • superb

  • how is the tab for this?

  • Attention drummers: this is your new god now.
