It is unfair that Serbia loses its church lands and historic monuments. Kosovo can be independent, but the areas that are predominantly Serb and historically part of the Serbian church should REMAIN part of Serbia. That is part of Serbia's national treasure. Both statement are true (with a correction: more civilized (aware) Turkish SOCIETY/ INTELLECTUALS, not government), although they cant be put into the same "Hollywood scenario" regarding Turks. One example of a w. government, Germany: Committed Genocide in the most extreme way only some 70(ish) years ago. Yet most germans would say Turks are not civilized enuf for the EU. Some reasons: Germans are looking at problems in their own country with Turks who sometimes commit "honor killings", fix marriages, severely limit women's rights and such.

I don't think it has much to do with that as such, the fact that, there are more than 2,600,000 Turks residing in Germany which will encourage other fellow Turks to reside there, if it was allowed to join, and that Turkey population is in excess of 71,158,647 and overwhelmly Muslim are some of the reasons that Germany is apposed to Turkey entering the EU, and also that it will give the EU a new set of neighbours such as Iran Syria and Iraq.

I don't think he has any particular issues with Kosovo, his issues seem to be towards the western foreign policies as a whole, I don't know if you watched this carefully but he criticises everything on western foreign policy, I even think that if it was the other way around and America didn't bomb Serbia he would have criticised them for not doing so . But I don't doubt for one second that he is very intelligent

yes, we did watch the videos carefully. Did you? He criticized west for their part in bombing of Serbia, the same way he did for bombing of Vietnam, Iraq, Korea, Latin America etc etc... If they stopped bombing he would not have complained. And he actually never complained about "not bombing" someone. There is trend in western policy, and it's obvious now. Time will tell who was right and what was happening. Chomsky insists not to wit for that time to come, but learn yourself...
