You know, when I was younger I use to believe that Hmong weddings and marriages were wrong. My perspective of it wasn't much different from what this video is sending out. My parents, like a lot of Hmong parents, didn't understand how I viewed it. But as I grew older I realized that it's about respecting your parents, your culture, ancestors, and who you are. Even in American weddings you have something old (new, borrowed, and blue) for good luck, which are tokens from their families. :)

There is nothing wrong in Hmong tradition in marriages. Everyone's heritage and styles are different. I understand this is your opinion, but you need to understand that now a days, the Hmong culture is thinning out in the U.S. Many Hmong youths dont even understand Hmong tradition or even speak the Hmong language. Hmong weddings are very beautiful because it involves the cooperation of both families. And the way they get married is like the most happiest thing that can happen.
