  • Hey I love the blonde streaks I totally want those... but yeah great tutorial even though it was short and simple. :3

  • How do you pin them once you get them?

  • If you watch my other video, I believe I actually pin them in at the end. It's hard to explain through words.

  • reverse rolls and victory rolls are the same thing. and by the way, this tutorial is very sloppy. that is not hte way victory rolls were done. yours appear hollow and that was a 1940's no-no.

  • I know they are the same thing. I used both terms for search purposes. The tutorial is not intended to be elegant. It was something quick to show. I know it is not authentic; most people these days won't do authentic stuff to their hair. I appreciate your opinion.

  • May I bow down to you? -Bows down- You're very pretty, your hair is awesome, I loved the tutorial and I really find it amazing that you don't insult someone when they insult your video, but instead, you thanked her for her opinion, in other words, I will marry you! x]

  • Aw thanks. You're so sweet. I hope that the video helped you!

  • Just because her videos aren't as detailed as yours, doesn't mean you have to call her video sloppy.

  • Thanks much! I needed this for a 40s outfit im wearing this week! Yey! You're awesome.

  • I'm not quite understanding why these are called 'reverse' rolls...I really like the tutorial, don't get me wrong, but they seem like regular victory rolls to me. Maybe I'm the one whos wrong here...thanks again for the vid, though!

  • They are. And they are reverse of each other - thats why they are also called that.

  • Ahhh, NOW I get it. Thanks! I always wondered that.

  • ouh wow! this is adorable!

was very helpful, thank you so much =)

  • Thank you!!! I'm going to go try this style right now!!!!!!! (rushes to bathroom)

  • im so effing pissed i cnt do it

  • thank you thank you thank you!!

  • Shit. My hair is too short and layered.

    T_T

I'm sad now because i <3 this style

  • pretty, I will have to try this one as well

  • i was trying to do it with my hair but i need lot more practice! lol

thanks for the video it's so helpful =]

  • i need more practice too i attempted about 15 times before i got it lol

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH !!! I have been searching the net for so long trying to figure out how to do this style!!! YOU HAVE SAVED THE DAY!

  • oh man, this video is incredibly helpful love. thank you.

  • wow thanks!!

  • THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hey these are great video; simple to follow. I really like the blond in this video, it totally accents your face. You would look good totally in this shade of blond. The other video (Victory Rolls) the blond is nice but 'skunky' looking

  • Wow, you don't know how long I've been trying to figure that out. Thanks!! Love your in depth video as well.

  • You might be surprised ;) It took me a LONG time to figure it out, myself, but once I did I had to share it with others. So glad they helped you!

  • you remind me of a young kirsten dunst...like in Little Women.random sorry

  • Haha, that's okay. I've been told that I resemble her before.

  • Wow! I have been trying to figure this hairstyle out for years! Thanks for sharing!

  • Thanks! =)

  • wow! I've always wondered how gwen does it. can't wait till my hairs long enough to try it out.

  • wow ty soo much..i love ur hair color combination, the blonde on top is very very sexy ;)

  • absolutely gorgeous! thanks for the tip!!

  • Your tutorials are great. Thanks so much for the info. Now we can all have purdy hair like yours. :]

  • I dont see the front pompadour effect...

  • You're right, I didn't have that in the video. Instead of doing a roll to the side, you just take your bangs and do it in the front.

  • I can make a new short tutorial on this, if you'd like. Otherwise, instead of rolling to the side of your head, you take one chunk from your bangs and roll it up and back.

  • thanx so much. :]

  • omg! I've been wondering how to do this! Thanks. =]

  • ilove it it looks great on you thank you verymuch :)

  • hey thanx for the tutorial you rock lol and LOVE your hair =]

  • Oh thank you so much for this!! I tried googling it and didn't find much that help. This was perfect and just in time for the weekend. I'll be doing this on my hair saturday. Thanks again!!

  • THATS SIKKK i always triedd to imagine how they make it for gwen

  • AHHH thank you sooo much. I was having a hard time and thinking, "yeesh it would be so great if there was a how-to vid on youtube" and behold! thank you!!

  • Well damn, I didn't know it was so easy

  • very pretty ^o^

  • oh, you saved my life! I want to wear this hairstyle for a wedding and couldn't find a good spanish tutorial, but it looks easier watching the video :) thanks for sharing!

  • I'm glad it helped! I just submitted a better tutorial in my videos. You will look great at the wedding, I am sure!

  • That's an interesting way to do it. Thanks for the tutorial!

  • you rock chick!!! please post more how to classic pinup styles!! you have saved me for a photo shoot doll xoxo

  • Thank You very much this was very helpful

  • So glad! It's one of the things I wished was out there when I was trying to do it on my own a while back. You're welcome!

  • I never thought about twisting it to keep the ends in. That actually worked really well! Thanks for the video

  • It's easier that way for long hair, and my hair has gotten much longer than it used to be! I just got a haircut though, and I'm going to try it with a layered front. You're welcome!

  • humm i just can't do it! =/

  • It takes a lot of practice, and some "Eureka!" moments. They are basically thick, standing pincurls.

  • I've tried and tried, but my hair just won't do it... Dig the shirt, though.

  • lol, thanks.

  • I've tried and tried, but I have such an issue with my hair! I'm convinced it's because my hair's curly. I tried twisting the ends and everything. But thanks for the tutorial!! I love vintage hairstyles.

  • You could try using pomade. My boyfriend uses that and it makes his hair straight. Although, it is usually wax based so it would take a while to get it out of your hair.
