Great video, get to see Cheap Trick and also some key people from the downtown NY music scene in the 70's (Cale,Johansen,Fields,etc).

Yeah, Cale was totally wasted...he didn't kick the bottle & coke until the mid 80's.

Cool to see the Cheap Trick, Ramones & Cars logos' in the crowd! Back then, band logos were a big deal...not so much nowadays.

Nah, Standing on the Edge sucks, the doctor sucks, Busted sucks. Special One is a very good cd. Well written songs great production. Nothing cheesy on Special One. their last 3 studio cd's are magnificent

The first, Cheap Trick plus In Color, Heaven Tonight, Budokan, Dream Police, One On One (without Petersson), Cheap Trick 97, Music For Hangovers and Rockford. All their albums are pretty damn good, but those are the best.

The retrospective "coolness" of various rock bands has little to do with how they were perceived at the time. Nor did it determine who was friends with whom. John Cale was probably trying to borrow some money, as Iggy Pop would have from Styx, or maybe they all did drugs together.
