I'm not a fan of this method. I prefer patching every hotspot separately and then setting the transparency of the layer. That way the skin doesn't look so plastic and monochromatic.
hey ranash....great work...please tell us one more thing and upload a demo if possible..the problem is...how to make finishing on your 2mega pixel mobile captured's photo (let say on face)...which must look like more smoothing pic captured from a 10mega pixel camera..r u getting problem...??....if not then i can elaborate it more..?..please uplaod some demo related to this problem..i can see you are a professional photoshop designer and u know which tool is used for which effect..

Can you do this in reverse? for example, if you have shadows on basically white/ cream surface can you blend them to match the surface?

I've found that for lighter skinned people, the opacity needs to be dropped to about 30-40%, sometimes less.
