Have to go with Groucho and Karlakor on this one. Hadn't heard this in years; now I know why. For GOOD Marx Brothers songs, I'll take Allan Jones with "Cosi Cosa" and "Alone". Tony Martin was a very fine singer whose talents were wasted in this less-than-stellar movie.
What rubbish! Groucho Marx once referred to this mess as "the god-awfullest thing I ever heard." I couldn't have said it better. This piece is nothing but sentimental vomit. Sheesh!!!

I like the tune, but the words are unbelievably corny and silly. I'm not really surprised this song gets bad writeups.
By the way, Elgar's First Symphony is in A flat....

I think this is quite nice. Not anywhere near as awful as the consensus has it. And the lead singer has a knock-out voice.

This isn't bad at all. It just doesn't belong in a Marx Bros. movie.

this is uniquely schlocky...pure dreck, a schtick unlike any other...

I don't understand the criticism this piece gets. I've always liked it and it's probably one of the few Marx tunes I keep coming back to.

If its the rubbish you say it is, why are you listening to it.
To me this composition is quite strange, ratherv like McCarthur Park later, but very compelling. I am curious to know who wote and produced it
Of course I will always associate it with the Marx Brothers
Wonderful voice

I have to listen to a piece before I can make any judgement of it. That's why I listened to it.

Wonderful....I wonder if the message is lost on this generation.
