SCHIP would have made it so that families making up to $80,000 a year could put heir children on the program, effectively taking 2 million children off of private insurance. It would also have covered "children" up to 25 years old. Since when is an 18-25 year old a child? Back in 93 a Clinton administration memo stated that using the issue of children's health would get us one step closer to socialized government health care. This was a sneaky bill to put us on the path of Hillary care!

what's sneaky is using misleading facts. the only state that would cover up to $83,000 for a family of four is New York. Most states are just covering 200-300 percent above poverty level (i think $30,000). But if we won't create national healthcare, then we have to allow states to create what works for them, without micromanaging.

What is FREE health care? Who is going to pay for it, the doctor, your neighbor? Nothing is free, and when the government gets involved there is no limit to the costs.

When the system is broke, the finite resources will need to be rationed in some way. Waiting lists will begin. This will lead to decisions of life vs death being made by the government. There will be resources (ie:money) on one hand and life on the other.

In other words we (should be) guaranteed to be able to freely enter into agreements, like buying a pack of cigarettes from a distributor, without the government or anyone else forcing their way into the transaction.
