  • You should try skateboarding instead

  • nice foot work

  • song ????

  • cool board. Its almost not even a pintail, since there is such a small tail.

  • niiice

  • My god, it kills me to see them dancing on such a small board... my bhangra needs to get here ASAP...

  • Awesome vid man.

  • very nice video, sweet riding and awesome filming/editing!

  • nice vid man

  • really like the tune. hats off to Mat Gansenberg. Is there any chance that I could get an mp3?

  • check out our new trick tip. its amazing. The Reflex!!!!!

  • Where was this filmed?:]

  • u need longer trucks

  • sir you forgot your shirt

  • DUDE! Your cross steps look AMAZING!

  • great video, very impressive stuff

  • Shitload of flex. And patton223 is right, original pintail is great and all but it is heavy as fuck

  • Shitload of flex. Anyway that board looks scary

  • what size of the trucks 150 mm?

  • is the pintail as smooth as the dervish?? I mean does it feel like a high end longboard

  • @tomputa12 i went 45 mph on my pintail, flex 1...pretty good all around board but like all longboarding videos, the kid in this video makes it look alot easier to ride

  • hey is the pintail a good crusing and all round board and can u still go down hills ?

  • Sooo smooth, good work!

  • WTF.. Creepy-ass woman at 0:23...

  • music is nicee

  • never again will i ride a regular skateoard

  • nice video man great song

  • what wheels would best be suited to use on the pintail, i have recently bought the deck and trucks but still unsure of what wheel to use... i was thinking 4 president yellow 86a, can you help me?

  • @jordielamb get the In Heat Orangatangs orange

  • lots of flex

  • impressive keep having fun

  • if your going to get a pintail, i strongly recomend the original pintail 40, 43, or 46. they can turn on a dime and can bomb hills with ease

  • @nick31595 Im getting a 43 this week for that exact reason lol

  • @nick31595 idk man ive got an original pintail 40 and a loaded pintail and they are both completely different rides !! if i could only choose one i would choose the loaded for sure!! its def my fav out of all of my boards and its just a great all around board !! i would strongly rec a loaded pintail for someone that can only afford 1 longboard !! it pumps like a dream and carves on a dime!! its super light so it has great control and its not a pain to carry (much lighter then the original)!!!

  • well i weigh about 1,487 pounds

  • im so glad i got a pintail

  • duude this is soo dope. your soo good at longboarding and dancing. wat board is that cause its wicked sweet. make sum more vids

  • @LesPaul011 loaded pintail

  • what truck/wheel combo is that?

  • what wheels are those?

  • @thekingofslade Orangatang 4Presidents, orange. ORANGATANGWHEELS o COM

  • Comment removed

  • @SuperJman37 maybe a flex 3-4. more likely a 3.

  • Woooah!

  • Can you turn normal street corners with the pintail?

  • @jasonloden the "turning" is called carving, and it is done to keep the longboard at an easy, steady pace. And yes, all longboards do that (as long as you get a nice one) i would recomend getting a sector9 to start you off. They are amazing boards that can be used by beginners and experts

  • Do you gain speed from swerving like that? Do all longboards turn easily like that? <---noob interested in longboards

  • I hv the apex 34, and i do love it, it gives an awesome ride =D and i'lllike to try this board, the pintail nice video btw, and whats the name of the song!?

  • With one decent push on flat ground, how far would this go?

  • @cabbatime one million, three hundred and ninety seven thousand, five hundred and twenty four toe nail clippings, lined up end to end. Does that help? I didn't have a ruler...

  • @SkateDistrictFilms what so about a meter? (lol)

  • @SkateDistrictFilms

    nails from which toe? ;D

  • @SkateDistrictFilms bahahahaaha ;3

  • @SkateDistrictFilms The big toe or one of the smaller ones? What's your shoe size?

  • @cabbatime forrrrrreeeevvvverrrrrrrrrrr

  • @cabbatime depends on the bearings lmfao goof

  • @cabbatime on flat ground probably about a few yards..

  • @wasabiman17 as I said below to another commenter, I'm not impressed with the quality of the build of Original boards, but they are significantly cheaper so you get what you pay for. If you have questions regarding Originals specifically you should ask my friend Brian, who rides for them. His youtube channel is brianbish9.

  • @SkateDistrictFilms yeah but he wont say original is crap couse he rides for them ...I know I wouldn't but theirs still are bad

  • @wasabiman17 I would not call either of those boards "freeride". I think you mean freestyle, eg tricks and such? Free ride is more inline with downhill. If you are looking to do tricks you would probably want to go with the apex 34 over the pintail (mostly for carving), though I have to recommend Loaded's new Tan Tien. That is a solid freestyle and workable free ride board. It has very functional nose and tail. We will be releasing a video for it before the end of the month.

  • @wasabiman17 This video shows two pintails flexes 2 and 3, and a vanguard flex 2. If you watch video "You need a permit for that." on our channel it should show you how much better the pintail carves compared to the vanguard.

  • @wasabiman17 (Continued) But given that you are asking about an Original. I assume you've tried one and perhaps like the way it carves. If so you might want to invest in one of their boards. If you're solely interested in carving you might want to try the Custom 35 (I personally hate the shape) or the Malakai 40 (this is longer than your vanguard) Or if you liked the shape of your vanguard you might try a stiffer flex (3) with some Original S8s.

  • @wasabiman17 Given that you have a flex 5 I'm guessing you're quite a bit lighter than I. A board with a shorter wheel base will carve better than a longer one e.g. the Vanguard. Your vanguard has a wheel base almost as long as the entire pintail. Also 150mm trucks with also carve better than longer ones , e.g. 180mms. If you were unhappy with your vanguard you might feel better on the pintail, as it's small and fits 150mm trucks. I would suggest a pintail flex 4 with 78a venom super carves.

  • @wasabiman17 I'm currently riding a combination of Venom Super carves, Orange (81a) and Red (90a) on Paris 150s. I can't speak to the blue Venoms, but my set up is very carvy. Close, if not as carvy as black spring in Original trucks, and more so than reds and whites. If you like traditional trucks and want the carviest ride possible i highly suggest venom super carves, but the specific duro is hard to recommend because of body weight. For reference I am about 150, on a flex 3,orange In Heats.

  • How long is the pintail?

  • @smurfmod The Pintail is 35 and 1/2 inches with a 29 inch wheel base.

  • yo ur realy good, but you should consider getting an apex 37 from original skateboards, its perfect for people as good as tht

  • @kazoobazoo117 loaded is as best as it gets

  • @kazoobazoo117 Thanks for the recommendation, but I do not care for the Original truck system, and find their boards to be of inferior construction to other companies. It's all about personal preference, Originals are just another board company, just because you like them does by no means make them the best. I would have a hard type recommending any board company to anybody, since many of them make amazing boards, depending on your specific discipline within longboarding.

  • this is a really, really sick vid.

  • Sweet video man, just got a Loaded Dervish and it is sweeeeeeeet

  • same here but its FUCKING RAINING!!!!!!!!

  • Name of song or beat? Hook me up with the track! Sick skating guys. Excellent editing

  • would gullwing sidewinders go good on this board i have a dervish its sweet but i want a board where i can really pump hard and carve in stuff and i like the pintale its a good baord

  • Yea, gullwings would work decently, I prefer a bit more of a narrow truck like randell or paris 150s. I haven't ridden the sidewinders myself but I believe they are a good carving truck. You will just have to get twice as many bushings and really dial in your setup. Good luck.

  • thanks dude! ive ridden sidewinders befor on a um sector 9 board befor idk the model and i luv em soo much there an amazing carve but im a loaded guy so u no i would like to get a stiff sector 9 for some downhill suff but i prefer the loaded famely

  • can you give me a sugestion on what wheels to buy?

I took a spill two days ago from "speed wobble" lost control and bombed in grass got some mean grass rash and wanna prevent thi shit.

I ride a 46" sector 9 fish style board and guys are tellin me to run sector nine race fusions or whatever they are called there yello.

Also wondering if trucks make a difference in this speed wobble control p.s. I was doin 29or more when I crashe thats slow compared to other dudes please help ne one!

  • Wheels have little to do with wobbles. If you are going 30+ you should have a pretty stable set up.

A couple good trucks you could look at are randel II's (flip the hanger) and Indys, there are a whole lot more if you want more suggestions. I would also seriously suggest you look into getting some new bushings. They are cheap and a great way to customize your set-up to how you like to ride and what type of riding you are doing.

Let me know what you have for trucks. -Andy gansenberg

  • well I was doing between 25 and 30mph. and the wobble was so intense I couldnt stop or do anything but bail into grass and got some bad cuts but im healing.

For trucks i have gullwing ones thats all they say and my current wheels are 70mm.

Thats all I know for now if you could help bro thad be awesom I wanna but the speed wheels but I dont wanna waste money they are about $44.oo bucks

  • Speed wheels are designed more for serious dh, the are made to be very grippy when flying around corners and able to drift smoothly.

For getting rid of your wobbles I would suggest replacing your bushings. Khiro bushings are alright, Venom and Sabre are both great bushing companies, it really depends on what type of riding you are doing though. Are you working on dh and getting even faster? if so go with some higher durometer sabres, venom elim or venom dh barrels, or jimz.

  • If you are doing more carving or dancing I would suggest going with some slightly softer Khiros or venom supercarves.

Tell me your weight and riding style and I'll be able to suggest a specific duro.

Gullwings are pretty good for cruising and carving and if set up right can handle a little dh until you get a bit faster.

Lastly the most important thing with wobbles is to weight your front foot hard try to hold it steady, relax your body(helping to absord the wobbles) and carve off speed.

  • im 270 right now and im lookin to buy a 60 inch FAT DADDY from Flexdex. And then I would just build the board for speed and carving and I will try the foot forward and relax its just hard when you get nervouse. But I was planning on doing Randall 2 180's with abec 11 flywheels 97mm 75a... but im not that knowlegable in the longboard game so I need help please.

  • If you are trying to stay cheap, the fat daddy could be a good option, just know that it is not a dh deck and if you start getting into more serious dh you will need a different deck.

The rest of your set up sounds good. (the truck comes in two parts the baseplate and the hanger). The baseplate screws onto the board and the hanger connects to it and holds the wheels. Flipping it will make you lower to the ground and more stable. To flip it, take a socket wrench unscrew the kingpin and flip.

  • I would go with some harder bushings, venom elims or dh barrels around 90a-red or 93a-green. You could also go with some Sabre or Abec 11 just stick with something around the 90-93 durometer and get barrel or steped shape, not cone.

Here is a link to a longboard forum. Read the first post in this thread, it is a great introduction to bushings.

  • well im not trying to stay cheap on purpuse just like the fat daddy and the walking the deck this but i wouldnt mind a board like in this vehical one to do tricks on when i learn how. i just want a board thats slolam downhill and tricks and speed. so my set up for the fat daddy would be pretty good?

  • dude your awesome at riding maann

  • awesome video guys, inspiring to say the least.

I'm definitely buying a pintail in the very near future, but I'm having trouble deciding what flex to get. I'm 5'2" at 120 lbs and my ride style is a lot of heavy weighted carving, moderate walking, and hard hitting tricks like ghost ride kickflips and big hippie jumps. I'm debating between flex 2 and flex 3. Help me please haha.

  • Hey bud, if your planning on doing anything like hippy jumps and heavy weighted tricks id suggest a flex 2 based on your weight. a flex 3 would still be good but when broken in might be a little too flexy for freestyle tricks. when your flex 2 breaks in im confident it will feel perfect for your riding style. hope that helps,

    -Dane

  • that's what I thought, but I just needed it qualified by someone who has experience with the flexes.

thanks for help and if you get a chance check out my vid!

  • woa...this isn't from loaded...well that's confusing, lol

sorry, but still, if you know what bearins they use, lemme know!

  • Are you looking to know what bearings we ride in the video or the people at loaded?

  • either one, just lookin for some bearings that spin a good time, and i figured you'd know

  • We ride different stuff, Bones makes great bearings, I'm personally a fan of Oust Bearings, and I have heard great things about RocknRons and Black Panther although I haven't ridden either.

  • what bearings do all, or most of you use at loaded?

every video i watch, it looks like you never have to push...besides the fact you pump.

  • thats sick

  • Your board is sick. How much did that cost you?

  • is what you did at 0:22-0:27 and 0:30-0:35 both considered cross-stepping? cause i like doing the first one, but every video i see on cross stepping does the second style.

  • No, the first bit is called a peter pan. The basic difference is that in the peter pan your feet are parralel to the board and then you cross-step. Very similar motion but different foot placement. You can initiate a peter pan either by sliding your front foot to the middle (lengthwise) and the side (Regular-right side, Goofy-left side). Or you can bring your front foot back is if to start a cross step and then pull your back foot to the middle/side.

  • oooohhh, okay thanks.. i'll gotta start working on my crossstepping then.

    great vid btw!

  • your pintail looks very small, what happened

  • big feet

  • Yeah, I grew up in Beverly. Riding At Bradley is awesome. You ever get over the cherry hill to ride?

  • yeah, that is our sanctuary. although none of the hills there are very challenging its become like a longboard park to us on weekends and at night. the backround of our page is actually a sky view of the airport and the cherry hill business district. if your ever back in town you should send us a pm and we'll skate for sure.

  • You guys riding in Bradley Palmer?

  • Yes sir we are, you know the area?

  • skate district is perfection

  • does this board work with 180mm trucks or do i have to get new ones?

  • it's really good music, a few days ago it was just stuck in my head all day. i felt like i was listening to it when i was riding my dervish to school then in class i was bobbing my head to the beat of the music and one teacher just kept on staring at me bobbing my head, it was pretty funny. If he ever makes a cd with this on it i will buy it!

  • whats the name of the song it doesn't say?

  • My brother is a musician and put that together for us. As the credits say Original music by Mat Gansenberg. No name for the song. Perhaps "Pintail Music" if you like.

  • what wheels are u guys riding?

  • If you look in the info section you'll see that we are riding Loaded's Orangatangs Both the In Heats and 4Presidents oranges.

    -Sam

  • you know theres some really cool stuff goin on here. some of the far close transitions look crazy, the wide shots with the bluury edges are sick and the opening scenes just make the vid. congrats dudes

  • Holy crap, i go to this school!

  • MAKE MORE UR VIDEOS ARE SICK

  • i went to school with joe and sam

    weird

  • I love this video!
