Doing a gradual wah effect where you gradually push the pedal forward or back would be pretty tough with this pedal. Also, this guy is sitting - but wouldn't you be standing on one leg to use this if not sitting?
From hearing that pedal Id rather a traditional foot pedal. You still have to somehow create a rhythm with your foot anyhow and the real thing seems easier.
So i'm wondering, why does the Gibson have Grover (or grover-style) tuners as opposed to the green keys? I have Grovers on my epi SG400 but I thought the stock Gibson tuners were better.
There's a lot of debate, but I think grovers will hold a tune better then the stock klusons that Gibson installs.
This can also be affected by the quality of the tuners (there are crappy grovers and crappy klusons), how much play you have in your tuners and how hard you tend to play.
Most players replace them, but if the tuners you have right now work for you then don't worry about it.
I definitely agree, Grovers hold a tune pretty well from my experience. I jam with my friend who has a Gibson LP studio and the klusons he has seem to be on par with my grovers; he has to tune the B or G string up (which is apparently a universal gibson/epi defect) every now and then while we're playing. Overall i'm satisfied with the quality of parts used in epiphone guitars, namely the grover tuners (which run around $40 I believe)
actually im pretty good and been in and out of a few bands now forming a new one, just pedals are annoying and its not my style...think its kinda stupid if you cant play and impress if you need 100 pedals.
This reminds me of a video by MoogMusic where a Moog Guitar was set on full sustain mode and was controlled by an Etherwave theremin. The theremin could be used to control the overall volume or the Moog Guitar envelope filter. Very cool stuff!
I got it... it's going to auto read by guitar "players" movements right...just like laser security systems....you don't have to have it on the ground you can do old radials etc right
does it sound good with a bass?=

@MadmanAcrossTheWater Skinny Jack Black is a stretch. I don't see White in him at all. His skin tone is probably an illusion as well.

Seems kind of silly to me.

you don't have to stand on one leg to use it, just keep your heel on the floor or the edge of your pedal board...

That's pretty sweet. I like that it has a built-in overdrive, but I wonder how comfortable it would be playing while standing.

Give a lean with one leg forward for the wah lol then adjust how far your leaning that's how i do it and i haven't been uncomfortable with a wah yet
Ibanezgsa60Gio 2 years ago
Yeah, I get that, I do the same, but without a pedal to rest your foot on, I'd think it get tiring .
CodyCEngdahl 2 years ago
this thing is cool but over 300 bucks for a "wah" pedal ouch!

Compared to the 100 dollar replacement kluson tuners.
I've got klusons on my Gibson right now that do the trick for me.
I suppose I could replace them, but I'm also a sucker for the vintage look so as long as the guitar stays in tune I'm happy.
C1o88er3d 2 years ago
i think pedals in general are dumb and waste of money for the most part,i just plug straight into my twin only pedal i ever used was a mxr script 90

that just means you suck. =)

wow.... you must suck. bad. try walking into your local GC and fucking with all the pedals for about 3 hours... now that is fun.

no, but if you do and you know how to use them, youll sound good.
a great example of this is Joe Satriani.
he has a yard long pedalboard and he uses all of them perfectly.
I seriously reccomend checking him out before you go judging effects.
