  • We love Brittany.Girl Dale,js.

  • i got a week off of school i was a senior in high school

  • wow, I was 6 yrs old. I remeber tha old theme song for tha news, but I farely remeber tha blizzard:(

  • :D I turned 1 on that day XD apprently it was on jan 6th o-o so yeah if thats true xD then i would have been one on that day lol

  • this was not a blizzard...it was a snowstorm. the liberal jew news media called it a blizzard to scare everyone.

  • man i reamember this blizzard like it was yesterday i was 6 and so glad to have like 2 weeks off of school...the snow was almost over my head lol

  • I remembered this. I was living in Roger's Forge at the time and had to walk to work a few miles away in downtown Towson.

  • Damn i was in 5th grade when this went on, school was closed for the whole week. Man that was good times

  • wonder what their broadcasts were for dec '09 to feb '10.... i wasn't in maryland so.. in VA it was murder.. thus, i know it must've been hell in MD.

  • marty bass voice over?!

  • @TV6USA yes that was Marty Bass.

  • I was 12 at the time and still lived in Baltimore. Blizzards suck ass.

  • I was 18 and in my first year at college. Loyola College cancelled there classes that week and I spend a threw days at home with my mom.

  • @AgentRaven77 I can tell you that getting to go home from Loyola due to bad weather was a treat as Loyola never wanted to close during bad weather when I worked there in 98'. They would wait to see if Hopkins closed before they closed first. I remember being stuck there during a raging tropical storm that was dumping tons of rain on Baltimore and not being able to leave 4 hours after the storm started.

  • i remember me n my cuz was walking on top of the snow

  • @britneydalenumber1 fuck off and die you worthless spamming troll. Your post is being flagged as spam. Hopefully, that will lead to your account being deleted once and for all.

  • So cool I was alive for both

  • looks like were topping this storm in feb 6 2010

  • @bmorecity20 as I type this right now we are in the blizzard of 2010 we are getting at least 24 to 30 inches meaning more than 96

  • @bmorecity20 There was no "blizzrard" in 2010...just like there was no "blizzard" in 1996. It was not a blizzard. The liberal jew news media overhypes every little flake of snow just to scare people.

  • @bmorecity20 so me people said its pose to be coming in dec 2010

  • @bmorecity20 nothing will top 96. feb 2010 was great but the blizzard of 96 had ABSURD winds. 50 mph gusts. Temps were below 20. Feb 2010 wasn't even as bad as President's Day 2003.

  • @bmorecity20 Nope. '96 dropped 26.6. Feb 6, 2010 dropped 25 inches.

96 is the gold standard for the east coast.

  • OMG I remember that was awesome I was 10 years old and I lost my shoe and the snow..and even after it melted I still didnt find it

  • WJZ I would watch the news also I remember the Bilzzard Of 96 back in high school

  • all man this would have been my favorite winter if i was not 2 at the time

  • Blizzard of 96 I was 9 years old.....BEST snowstorm to play around in...period! LOL!!

  • That's because you didn't have to dig out 3 cars and then go to Mercy Medical Center and get stuck for 2 days, LOL. Don't worry I had my turned during the blizzard of 83' LOL I was 9 years old at the time too

  • I remember I was stuck at my girlfriend's house and she got on my nerves so bad that I walked home to Cherry Hill From Westport and it was brutal.

  • Damn that was serious! LOL

  • I worked at Mercy hospital at the time. I spent three days there, but at least I got a lot of overtime.

  • OMG me too! I worked on the 12th Floor back then! We were stuck for a day and a half, but we had to act a fool when we found out they were taking people back home after they had only worked 8 or 12 hrs!

  • I worked security. You couldn't miss me I'm 6'8". I was the younger one of the really tall security.

  • this will NEVER happen again

  • Uh it did, in 2000 and then again in 2003

  • im talkin bout now

  • Apparently

  • the one in 2000 is what made me move to California 9 years ago.

  • Now you gotta deal with earthquakes, mudslides and wildfires.

And I remember that storm in 2000. It was a whopper.

  • The Wildfires and Mudslides go hand in hand, the earthquakes, any day now.

  • It just did

  • yep

  • I was 8 years and 8 months old when it happened in Cumberland

  • I live in Harford County which is northeast of Baltimore, and I was only 8 months old when this happened.

  • i loved that blizard i was just turning 4 and it snowed like crazy on my b day !:D

  • I recall that. Even out at White Marsh, they were selling "I survived the Blizzard of 96 sweatshirts". It was my daughters first time in the snow. She was 15 months old give or take.

  • I've lived there all my life except those 2 years around this event, when I lived in CT. MD got hit with this huge single blizzard, and my dad has pix of the snow on the other side of the open doors - nice flat piles up to the doorknobs. Meanwhile in CT we simply got hit with "normal" snowfall every week for some 6 wks like clockwork, starting that time.

  • I was in my freshman year of high school in P.G. County and we were delayed most, if not all of the week following the Blizzard, and it was a fun time then. Watching TV, playing video games, no school for a while and during the height of the storm, watching the snow pile up and drift.

  • I was stuck at work at BWI. I could have gotten home but wouldn't have gotten back the next day so they put us up in a hotel...the Suisse Chalet, which now is La Quinta. I didn't even pack an overnight bag because I was sure it wouldn't snow! (too many false alarms over the years) My car was in the hangar during the storm and I drove home without a flake on the car! This is, until I got stuck on my street and had to get towed. :-(

  • WOW! The blizzard of 96' brings back so many memories, no school, I don't think I had to attend church for that week, and um, did I say no school. Ahh. . .the best. All I did was play video games since I couldn't go outside and play because I was sick. :(

  • @NuBeginnin even if i was sick id be out in a heart beat, which i did during the 2003 storm.

  • aw man this blizzard i will never forget it, i was in elementary school and the snow was taller then me. the best part i like about these blizzard is when they canceled school. WHOOOWEEE i was so happy as a kid. I use to watch the news and at the bottom of the screen waiting for them to cancel baltimore county schools!

  • Arrgh! I remember that blizzard. I lived with my cousin in Towson at the time and we both had to walk a mile to work.

  • I also remember it started on a saturday night and ended on sunday night but it snowed again that tuesday and friday of that week, three different storms

  • what is with maryland and getting there roads cleaned? I was 19 when this happened and school was closed for a solid week!!! I moved to Mass a year later...and from the time I was 10 till I graduated high school, I can count all the times I had off from school because of bad weather on one hand...

  • I worked my one and still only 24 hour shift at BWI during that storm.

  • Hell yeah!

I was 17 and school was closed for a week. Even better, my parents were away and I had a house party for the whole time.

I still have video of it, I should try and upload.

  • This storm dumped about 31" of Snow in Philadelphia.

  • I remember it as well. I was a freshman in high school in the D.C. suburbs and the schools in my area were either closed or delayed for an entire week.

  • i was just hopin to find somethin on the blizzard of 96(i didnt know it was really called that lol) i was eight when it happened, and in the alley there was about a foot and a half of solid ridgid ice piled up that i played on. the snow almost came over my head, and when i came in the house it took like an hour to get my clothes off because of the amount of snow and ice in them. i also remember a truck comin thru droppin off food supplies

  • I remember that storm that is normal for a NYS winter Baltimore had plows ans trucks come in from NJ NY MA as RI just to help MD was crippled for 3 weeks

  • I also remember that D.C. was virtually shut down and D.C. Public Works (Who handles the snow removal for the District) were heavily criticized after this storm about their poor performance in removing the snow compared to the Virginia and Maryland suburbs.

  • This storm saved me. I had time to finish some report because school was closed for about 2 and half weeks in the RVA

  • OMG!!! I remember this as well, very very bad storm, I was out of school for about a week or two.

  • heyy I remember this! Damn was that one hell of a storm. Now, it's a week before Christmas and 60 degrees. Wtf?

  • Two words: EL NINO!

  • @NEPatriot actually this blizzard was during a weak la nina, not an el nino. the passed winter was a el nino

  • aw man that was a crazy storm. After it we piled the snow up about 10 ft and jumped into it from my bedroom window. (i lived on the 3rd floor) me and my bro actually tried to get to the park down the street and i actually got lost cause he snow was over my head. i was 7.

  • That was an amazing storm. :] It was great.

  • i was only 6 but i do remember it well school was closed for like a week up here in new york

  • I remember that one well!

  • Man that was a horrible storm!!!
