It would amuse me greatly if Beck turns out to be a real-life version of "Stephen Colbert" and this whole thing has been an elaborate performance piece designed to embarrass the right by showing just how far down the looney path they're willing to go. But something tells me Beck simply isn't that clever.

Well to some degree, I think you are onto something....When his radio show was fresh, Beck was a centerist...But I guess, his people told him he wasn't right-wing wacko enough....He bceame one...and lo' and behold, he's what he is today.

This is what happened.I was flipping through the channels, turned on Glenn Beck because his program is often entertaining. Saw him clearly misspell a word, was astonished, filmed it and put it up. I would have done the same thing if it was Olbermann, Mathews, or fucking Katie Couric. I assume he responded to this misspelling? Does anyone have a link to it

Yeah I guess I got fooled. However if you look at the video he clearly does not know what he's spelling. He looks back at all the letters and gets a nervous look about him, like something wasn't right up there. He gets a sort of deer in the headlights look and then chose to move on. But its live TV and Im sure a lot of pressure.
