Now...can I simple plug headphones into this thing so I can play at night while my girlfriend(s) are asleep? I've been looking for that feature for a long time now.
Don't know if you're familiar with this amp: Bugera bc15 combo. But if you are, what would you think? The Micro Cube or that one? Thanks for the nice review by the way.
I have the micro cube and it's fucking sick. I like it, I have an ibanez rg and it sounds really good. The cleans and the distortion are awesome. I think it has more potential with better pickups in it. If your starting out and on a budget, buy this amp you won't be disappointed especially if your into rock/metal.
Undoubtedly the Tele's pick-ups and Mojo's skills are both superb. Unmissable as well are the audio quality of the video and the amp's tonal clarity. On these subjects (audio and tone) this is just about the best I have heard here from reviews featuring this amp.
Finally, someone who shows the potential of this amp. I wasn't sure if I wanted one until I saw your video. Now I know I do. Thanks for your great demo!
is it true that the vox has better clean sounds while MC has better crunchy sounds ? Does the so talked fubbing really screws the mc over ? I'm about to buy one of those great lil amps :)
I have a question if you would not mind me asking. I have a Roland microcube, and a couple of people have been telling me that it will not handle certain pedals, for example, metal stomp boxes. I have not tried one out yet on my Microcube, but I see no reason why it would not sound descent. Sure, it is not going to have the same crispy tones I would get from hooking a death metal pedal up to a stack amp, but do you think it would at least work for recording purposes? Thanks.
the micro cube is versatile, light, can run on batteries and is therefore very portable. That's more what it's meant to be. If you're looking at playing w/ a drummer, then no, it won't do. If you're just looking to play on your own, or maybe with another guitar player, then yes it will do the trick :)

Great Review of the Roland Micro Amp, I've had mine 6 months and have had the gain up all the time wondering why it always sounded the same, kewl thanks for the time an effort for uploading the video.
hi great playing!!I just want to ask about the microcube amp..i have one and I feel that sometimes the speakers fart out when you hit low e and a strings..have you exerienced it?maybe I have my gain too hig perhaps? I usually use the clean settings..Wha do you think of the DA-5 by vox? im planning to get one to replace the microtube.i really want solid clean tones by a battery powered amp?any suggestions?thaks so much,
That's a single coil, not a lipstick pickup. The tele single coils are unique sounding. Lipstick pickups are easy to spot because they look like a chrome tube of lipstick, which the first ones were actually made from back in the day by Danelectro because it was the cheapest way to make a pick-up.
Hard to respond, since there might be very different opinions of what the real tele sound is. In my case, I start with a Tele - imagine that :) - with real tele pickups - as opposed to humbuckers, P90s, strat pickups, CC pickup, etc... - and plug that sucker into a good tube amp like a Carmen Ghia, and voila, instant killer tele sound :)
thank you for giving a nice review with all of the amp settings without playing the same chord progression every single time like everyone else on here.
Oh the Eagles are fantastic, and I actually like the small changes you made to the riff. It's just overplayed... about 10 million times. :) Actually, that's one of the first songs I learned. Is that just an American tele with a custom paint job? Looks cool man.

How do you record to a computer, using the microcube?
anticsgmr94 2 years ago
Recording to a PC? I do it all the time. Depends on your system. Amp should have recording out. Patch to input of your soundcard.
I use a GNX4 or Boss ME70 pedal directly into an EMU1212 stereo soundcard and results are PROFESSIONAL.
