The Bavioural agreement isn't Police inforcing Law as such it aims to give the young people who socialise in Pidgeon Park guidlines as what is and isn't lawful and to get them to respect the space they as young people use!
Assistant Chief Constable Gordon Scobbie told Police Review yesterday: "There will be someone on the web chatting about West Midlands Police right now, about whether they have had bad service or if they have heard a rumour about guns and gangs."
He is also backing the use of Twitter. He added: "A lot of chatter is ill-informed.
"We need to be much smarter about identifying these conversations so we can join in and influence what people think."
I see censorship is alive & well in West Midlands Police. Why don't you post the comments made to this video? Do you fear public opinion? The same public that pay your wages!
To Paraphrase Confuscius The more laws you make the more criminals you make.
Whilst I appreciate we need Law and we need honest people to uphold the law. The police are now a political tool crushing the voice of the people. My question to you is do we live in a Free Democratic Society where freedom of speech is paramount or do we live under a Tyrant in a Police State.
If we are not living in a Free Democracy why are our Brothers fighting abroad under that pretence. Food for thought!
Doesn't inspire much confidence in the police when they arrest folk for speaking freely, suggesting that freedom of speech is tantamount to disturbing the peace!! That fact that all charges were dropped by the magistrate speaks volumes!
