That's a great story. I think I do that too. I become very attached to the thing that I want and when it doesn't happen the way I want or pictured it to happen I get really depressed. And that's part of the danger of the law of attraction the a lot of people don't understand. You have to understand a lot more than ATTRACTING something into your life in order to achieve happiness. You have to know how to maintain it, how to not sabotage it, and how to deal when/if you DON'T get it. Thanks!!

I'm sorry, i started backwards haha. My part begins where the last post is. This part is the last, so start from below.

....Now i just want to have fun, enjoy myself, situations, and know that all that i wish will come to me, slowly, so that I'm able to enjoy every step of it. I still like this guy, and i know that when the time comes, it will be just how i pictured. I am free.

i just realized I wouldn't want to have another relationship in which i depended on a guy to make me happy... so he was not ment to me, after all...and I learned so much, i learned i realy cared about myself and that i am an incredible person.. And also i realized denying (just like you said) the pleasure of being, wich required happiness and pain, being stuck in one emotion, gets too frustrated, too boring and i'ts just not normal. We have pain because we must learn lessons.

HIII!!! let's start. I saw the secret a year ago, I thought wuoow now i can have the guy a want. I met him. I've had a list of the next guy i wanted to date (i've had a bad brake up with another guy and i was very depressed). So i met him...2 months later, he was all i wanted...and then i started to get obsessive with this guy, because 'it was ment for me!', because i wished and he came up.

ok this will be fun. i tried to use the secret and i did attract stuff but then i sabogated it, like you said. it took me time ro realize it, and i thought that visualizing stuff wouldnt work. But now i have received small stuff that in time will lead me to my biggest dream, when you open a door, that door will attract you to people who know more doors and those doors will have even more doors and stairs. i could tell you many examples, but i shall tell you the "funner" one =).

i think NOW i understand the secret, for example .i said "i would like a guy that is romantic, charming, gorgeous, smart..." ..and man i met him like a month later! ..but..he was 30... HAHA and i am 20 so i said no, and i found his romanticism a little possesive, so i made a few changes to my list " VERy fun, 20-25, extremely sociable, succesful, open-minded, honest and passionate, not to touchy"

and then another 2 months i found this 23 turning 24 guy... haha yes he was the soul of the party and caring, not cute but not ugly, i found his socialismslightly shallow; and instead of being possesive he was the opposite,having space in a relationship is good but if you go away for holidays you expect an email or a text message right? nooo he wouldn't even call me, so i disliked that and said bye bye.

haha theen i made my list again "20-25, good lookin, fun, smart, layed back, humanist, same interest in my dream career, pleasing" and a week later i met this guy and he was really sweet...but he depended a lot on me, urgh, and i did not like having the same career i dont know why... SO right now i decided to take a break, I have no list!

Very interesting concept. I was at a dead end job once too, and I imagined where I wanted to be in 10 years... directing my own feature-length. Then I imagined the little steps it would take to get there. I think I'm still on track and I haven't lost sight.

I was initially really inspired by the secret but the more I thought about it, the more I realised it was a bit simplistic.

My concern is that people would then blame themselves when it didn't work exactly as they'd hoped. Like they hadn't been following the Secret well enough, so that's why it didn't work.

Communicating your visualization and listening to other's visualization in a proper environment allows a potential of synergy to take place.

The biggest problem I have with "the secret" is, that they only mention the law of attraction/resonance. But that is only the half truth, they never talk about the law of polarity! Which, in my opinion comes first! Like you said, Life isn´t only about joy, pleasure etc...there will always be struggle, pain...You can´t get one without the other!!! And that is soo important to understand!

How can we have "happiness" or "joy" if the opposite doesn't exist? That's EXACTLY what bothers me about The Secret. I have this image of a person putting their fingers in their ears and closing their eyes to all the parts of life that aren't pleasant. There is wisdom in pain. Some of my greatest insights have come from my darkest nights.

YES! That's so important and it is bigger than any other thing that could possibly stop us. Learned patters and instilled fears from our childhoods are more powerful than anything else.

Is it really a pattern of fear from success. What if it's just that you are use to success? How could it then be fear. Not debating your fears, but wouldn't it be logical to have some nervousness with something you arent familiar with? I say work through it and it will get better.

If something is new and unfamiliar then we do experience some level of fear... it's part of our survival.. if you have no fear you're not alive. It's more a matter of the LEVEL of fear. You talk about "nervousness" but really it's just semantics. It's just a low level of fear. Some people let their fear grip them into inaction. But whatever you call it and whatever it is... "it" is a thing that sometimes causes us to sabotage the things we want in life.

I listened carefully about what you said about fears at the end at how can can sabotage. I had an artist block this week. I thought for a second if there was something i was afraid of causing it. But no. I was just tired. I got some rest and I started working. First i had to delegate some work to others, but once I had done the things I need I needed to do first. I started working. I don have some apprehensions but its sensible concerns.

Yeah, from the part that I watched (the DVD) it bothered me because it was like they were saying you could have EVERYTHING in life that you want by just believing that it's meant to be in your life. You and I both know it takes a LOT more than that. It takes hard work, dedication, sacrifice, etc. A lot of people with good intentions get the wrong idea about going for the career of their dreams, etc. and I just want to say to them, DON'T GIVE UP. Try something else!
