[HD] How to remove a WIndows Partition from your Mac's Hardrive

Boot camp assist won't give me the option to remove windows either, just resize

When I hit partition

"Partition failed with the error:

Filesystem verify or repair failed."

It will only let me do it if I leave 32G off the HD

But I need the 32G - that's why I want to remove the partition

Any ideas?

Let me explain this clearly: first of all, when add windows OS on Mac it will be the default boot device. Therefore, when you remove the windows partition n then restart ur computer it will show u the message ( insert rebbot device...etc.) that because u already removed the default reboot device which windows in this case. The solution is: when the computer start rebooting hold on Alt key n then it will show u the Mac get in the system n the go to (startup) from the search bar n the u select Ma

Make sure that Mac OS is partitioned as reboot device, other wise u need to insert the reboot disk!!! Very important notice

for those with the verification error:

Restart your computer and after the chime with the white screen, hold command + S

wait for it to ask for root and type "fsck -fy" without the "" and with the space between k and - and press enter.

wait for it to say if it's repaired and it asks for another root. you may have to repeat this a few times. If it's repaired, type in "reboot" and let the computer start. It should work now

does this completely uninstall windows? Because I am thinking of installing Windows on my mac (Just for games duh) and I want to be sure that if something happens, I can completely uninstall Windows 7 and get all my hard drive space back on OS X.

Hey man. Have a question. I followed these steps, and it worked great (thanks by the way) But the next time i had to reboot my computer, it went to a black screen and said there was no drive to boot from. So i rebooted again, and help the option key (like i would have when choosing to boot in Windows or OS10) and the MacOS option came up. So for some reason, my comp will not boot unless i am holding the Option button. Any ideas? Thanks!
