  • 4:49 Sucker Punch? ("Army of Me" starts playing)

  • I always think of the nutcracker as the perfect symbol of a perfectly decent man.

  • marie kinda reminds me of Bernadette Peters as a doll lol

  • Unfocused camera needs to be fixed

  • Why did they name the swans Hero and Leander? I mean, the myth is kind of sweet, but it's also tragically heartbreaking.

  • The Mouse should of been dead even after Hanz slashed him.

  • ''and you my brave pantaloon'' HAHA

  • 0:54 the angel looked like that character from The Scream, lol...

  • Anyone else get scared when the Mouse King woke up?oO

  • is it just me is Pantaloone(sp?) quoting Shakespeare? XD

  • God I want to be Clara!!!!!

  • Hee hee I still have a crush on the nutcracker <3

  • i once had a dream i was waltzing with the nutcracker.

he looked like ryan raynolds but he sounds like keifer sutherland.

    *sigh*

  • 1:19 Fatal blow.

  • the nutcracker will always be my ideal man. i've had a crish on him since the 1st time i saw this movie as a kid. and it looks like i wasn't the only one from the comments of some of the people here. ^_^

  • the nutcracker will always be my dream man... I wish I was Clara <3<3

  • 6:40 cutest face ever. This movie is just adorable.

  • 8.05 - every girl in this movie is getting the man of her dreams. Damn cartoons setting high expectation for girls around the world...

  • @quidwitch A good friend of mine is under the same misguided spell, trying to see every boyfriend as a husband! *sigh* They're great stories, but impractical.

  • @cancanwench Oh, my friend has gotten "seriously(both of them thinking this)" engaged to her past like five boyfriends. The first one she might have seriously got married to(doubt it), but tragic car accident. It's really annoying. She dated a guy for two months, they got engaged(she's in high school mind you), and she keeps constantly complaining about him doing this or that. And refuses to talk to him about it. If you're getting married you need to communicate with them!

  • @DreamToriDream You wanna know something funny? I don't ever plan on getting married because not only do I fail to see myself as a wife with no 'mothering instinct,' but I keep falling madly in love with gay guys!!

  • @cancanwench Well the mothering instinct then(lack there of), which I have to. Don't fret too much about that part. Plenty of people get married, and happily never have kids. And sorry about the choice of guys you fall in love with. :( But hey, if you're happy that's what counts.

  • whats the name of the music at 9:00 ??? plz ive been looking 4 over an hour and cant find it

  • @msnoahxlukefan it is Pas De Deux from The Nutcracker ballet by Tchaikvosky

  • Okay, this movie is becoming more and more familiar...I wonder if I saw it on TV years ago and forgot about....

  • Blooper: The Mouse King has blood on his vest, but there is no tear in the fabric.

  • ...He runs to open the door for her....Why can't at least HALF of men be gentlemen?

  • oh this movie just brings me back, makes me so happy <3 <3

  • There is one mouse that Pavlova feared the most: The Mouse King.

  • What's the song that starts at 8:50? Unless it's a part of the song before it...anyway, it's beautiful, anyone know the name? :)

  • what's the title of the melody from 03:45? It'd be an awesome ringtone

  • GOD THAT CAT IS ADORABLE.

  • Love the dance so beautiful. And for animation I have to say that nutcracker is way cuter than Hans. *sigh* I would have loved to be Clara.*sigh*

  • so cute, so romantic... :3

    Old animation rules!!!

  • why does clara suddenly look eighteen rather than eight?

meh, oh well the nutcracker is still sexy.

  • @douxelle I think it's the magic of Dollland

  • @douxelle Cause it is a romantic scene, and an eight year old girl with a smexiful and manly-sounding king would look really creeptacular, don't you think? Whatever, though. I still love it, even with the inconsistencies! Its just gives it character :P!

  • can anyone tell me, what the name is of that last song? i cant seem to find it anywhere

  • can anyone tell me, what the name is of that last song? i cant seem to find it anywhere

  • @kartakartak Just put in Pas De Deux in the search bar here on Youtube and you'll find this beautiful song :)

  • @kartakartak I think it's called "For Two." At least, that's what it says on the CD I have of the Nutcracker... :)

  • Whe nI was a kid, I used to laugh my ass of at the Duck Scene, don't know why, it isn't all that funny...

  • Oh god the ballet @_@ If a guy like Hans really exists, he needs to show up like now. Seriously.

  • The kitty reminds me of Figaro. ^^

  • for a chirstmas present I lathed out a nutcracker that looked just like him. The funny thing is his ancestor was a prince so it fit

  • I love the dance scene!

  • "Gingerbread Castle! Oh, Nutcracker! *hugs* *blushes* Oh..."

lol: she likes him... she's just shy...

  • wow, the voice of the Nutcracker is Kiefer Sutherland AKA Jack Bauer from 24. which is funny because he was 24 years old when he did this movie! No wounder he kicked the rat's butt!

  • I love the nutcracker movies! the relationship between Clara and the Prince is always beautiful, and the prince is always charming, and HOT!

  • oo that red on the blade shows that its blood and the rat is dead

  • she sure doesn't stay very long in the land of dolls...

  • wow she can dance

  • wow this cartoon is bloody..

  • Why is the nutcracker so fucking hot?????? XD

  • @MissChelDorado idk but he was in a dream I had last night and it was very odd but also very cool xD

  • Daaaaamn, that's a lot of christmas trees, that's like one for every month of every year lol

  • "and u look very... distinguished" lol, i luv how she uses that line

  • Comment removed

  • i wanna dance with the nutcracker too!!

  • @Kakashisbitch1 Don't we all? *gets jealous*

  • HEADPWN. HEADPWN. OMG, he's still alive!

  • @nathylane I'm 19 and I do the same thing. You are not alone! :)

  • clara looks so old!

  • @princessfloraflower

    So did my cousin!! :D

  • I used to rent this movie every year at Christmas from Blockbuster. Its one of my favorite childhood memories. :-)

  • "Oh, nutcracker, I was so frightened!"

No offense, Clara, but not frightened enough to do anything!

    I love this movie! :)

  • "Clara, you look beautiful!"

"Thank you. And you look very distinguished"

*sigh* WHY CAN'T GUYS LIKE THE NUTCRACKER EXIST IN OUR WORLD?!! IT'S NOT FAIR!!!!!!!! :(

  • @TheOneThatFellInLove ok what r u, a phliosopher or something?

  • whats with the stupid circles on there cheeks omg i hate that!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That swan could DEFINITELY break a man's arm

  • HAHAHAHAHHA WHO RIDES A DUCK! THAT TOTALLY MADE MY DAY!

  • What's the name of the song they dance at the end? Please, I want to know!!! Anyone?

  • @drumsloki i think its just called The Nutcracker Grand Pas De Deux :)

  • @frozengirl100 No, It's not. It is called "The dance of the Prince and the Sugar Plum Fairy" But thanks anyway.

  • @drumsloki no actually its called Pas De Deux.

  • @surfercutie2008 Yeah, Sure. And I am the wonder woman... Pas de deux, is a duet in which ballet dancers perform the dance together, the music is called The dance of the prince and the sugar plum fairy. Remember: Pas de dex = dancers performing together, The dance of... = The song.

  • @drumsloki it's all from tchaikovsky's original score for the nutcracker ballet suite. don't know the exact name

  • is it wrong for a girl to dream fairy tale dream when she is going to be a sophomore. I love this movie. I wish that could happen to me or at least meet a gentlemen, they are so hard to find now. :-(

  • @katiebug31426 I'm a senior. Never gunna change.

  • Come ON Clara, you're like three time bigger than the mouseking. Kicking him in the nuts would take three seconds and everybody would be happy.

  • awe the famous dance My fav part in every Nutcracker movie

  • he mouse king scares me!

  • Ooooh... This movie...

I watched it all the time as a kid... =) My parents used to take me to see the ballet once a year, and I'd listen to the soundtrack to go to sleep...

This story and music always make me go through so many emotions... (^^)

  • If only there were more men who were gentlemen like the nutcracker! He's such a sweetheart. :D

  • @Nyghtshade409 There are alot of people like the Nutcracker but they get turned down for jerks and bad boys I'm afraid.

  • @Captstar2 I know I for one wouldn't turn down a real gentleman in favor of a 'bad boy' idiot.

  • @Captstar2 I would certainly never turn down a gentleman in favor of a jerk or bad boy. I had a very brief date with a 'bad boy' type, and ended the whole thing as soon as he referred to all women as 'f**k buddies' and made it clear that he doesn't see the point of fidelity. I will not tolerate that sort of behavior.

  • This part is really romatic.

    I really love this movie.

I wish that had a man who treated me like the Nutcracker Prince treats Clara.

  • This was the most amazing verison of the Nutcracker^^!! I always loved this, anyone know if they have it on DVD yet?

  • couldn't Clara just like, put a box over the mouse king or something?

  • @georginal12345 Or stomp on him or hit him with a really big book or grab him by the tail and chuck him in the fireplace or something. If it was a modern day girl they'd probably go for the tazer, mace and baseball bat. XD

  • *sight...* How romatic.^^ Love this movie

  • I want a Nutcraker...

  • Kiefer Sutherland was only 24!!! when he voiced the Nutcracker Prince....I did the math LoL

  • I love this pas de deux, but I don't remember what the music is

  • Aww I always LOVED the dance! ^_^

  • lol.. anybody noticed that mouse king i getting bigger and bigger? he's bigger than that kitten now

  • @MiquRyuhi That's because he's on steroids :P

  • *sigh* this brings back soooo many memories. I love this movie and almost made me want to cry seeing this for the first time in years

  • What's music name of pas de deux? I love this part...

  • @MikelaSinger it´s by Tchaikovsky, name´s not much different, it's the Pas de Deux of The Nutcracker

  • oh wow - that sexy voice was keifer sutherland>! I would have never guessed that. lol.

  • I think it would be kind of cool to have an uncle like Drosselmeier. Although I'd hope he wouldn't drag me into a showdown like poor Clara was!

  • lol i love this movie i remember watching it when i was 6 or 7 :D

  • i like how they dance, they're cartoons and yet their movements are like from real live people. It's pretty cool =D

  • AAH! BLOOD! I'm surprised the FCC wasn't all over that. Thank goodness. lol

  • *sigh...I love pas de deux the beginning is so moving

  • I love the music, when they,re beginning to dance.

    what is the song name??

  • "Why me?" lol

  • oh God *-* I love when they dance *-*

  • Ohh I just LOVE 9:27 they look so love struck (I don't care that they're young, it's so adorable). Hmm, with the time period the movie is set in too, it might be that that isn't all that young in the first place. A girl can hope.

  • I believe it's during the Regency era... since Clara's mother mentioned something about Napoleaon's army. So I'm estimating 1820's. Clara's gotta be about 13.

13 was usually the time when a mother would teach her daughter the ways of being a proper young lady of society and how to meet the right people in hopes for an engagement by the time she's of age.

  • I see <3

Well, she's pretty close to being of age then. Yay~

  • I fucking love this movie. THIS IS OFFICICALLY THE BEST VERSION OF THE NUTCRACKER EVEEEEEEEEER!=P...The Nutcracker/Hans*rolls eyes*;) looks alot like Jiro from Black Blood Brothers! When he was a general! xD and not a Vampire... sorry to drag that into thisxD

  • Wow...He DOES look like Jirou as a human!

  • i love it...its a big piece of my childhood... the first movie i´ve ever seen...so far i can remember :) its so wonderful..havent seen it for almost 12 years :D *dont know when it comes out..90?91? so wonderful... an the music...loveable :)

But ty for uploading it, haven't seen this move since when I was like 10.

  • marie grabs a duck..... but she ends up being flattered by a soldier.....

how very....subtle. i swear this is secretly teaching children to flirt.

but the movie is worth it.

  • I LUV KIEFER'S VOICE!!! Hes so cute and sexy!

  • My, aren't they sutble with the romantic tones? lol

  • Yep, but Hans and Clara are really young. Hans is 14 and Clara is 12.

  • Really? I thought Clara was 13.

  • uncle Drusselmeier (sp??) is so lurkin' in the back

  • HOLY CROW!! the Mouse King is STILL alive!! but he was stab in the heart!!

aww we all know that Clara and the Nutcracker Prince are MORE then just friends *wink wink*

  • I think he was stabbed in the chest very near his heart. Man, Hans should really work on his aim!:))

  • very true

  • @hunnykun101 hes alive because hes evil

  • @hunnykun101

Maybe he had a birth defect and the other is elsewhere....-shrug- or he just refuses to perish

  • Kiefer Sutherland? whats jack bauer doing impersonating the nutcracker

  • i know huh....that nutcracker is so freak'n HOT!!!! esp...his voice and he knows how to treat a girl...dang men these days...they be better if they were like the nutcraker..lol.

  • its a plus to know the voice actor of the Nutcracker is Jack Bauer from 24

  • your'e sure? I have heared it's Kiefer Sutherlands voice for the nutcracker.

  • who is the actor for Jack Bauer ;)

  • @Dncpeter sorry to tell you, but you'll have to seach for a very long time to find someone like the nutcracker... but GOD i wish they were still around

  • @Dncpeter well it's keifer sutherlands voice.

  • @Dncpeter 'cause he is voiced by Kiefer Sutherland. ;)

  • @Dncpeter would u be surprised then if i told u he was voiced by keifer sutherland?

  • mmmm i'd like to lick some coconut frosting off of him!

    04:59

  • the nutcracker is hot!!!!!and also his voice!!!its kinda weird how we think cartoon guys are sexy lol

  • Clara is useless. Lol. She could've just kicked that mouse into the wall or something.

  • 8:55, I like Clara's hair decoration with the ribbons.

    Transalted:

I love this film i have on video... and watched it ever since i was a tiny tot! Seeing it again brings back soo many memories!!! Thanks xxx

  • Clara and nutcracker sitting in a tree K I S SI N G ! LOL!

  • I can't help but wonder why Clara never just throttled the Mouse King. I mean.. I know she's just a girl and all, but if for the sake of her friends, couldn't she, being of larger stature, simply have squished or harmed him in some other way using the advantage of her height?

  • well these days she would have, for all we know, these days she'd probably take a gun to the mouse king

But given that this is based off the Ballet, she'd still have to leave it alone *shrugs* IDK most of the time cartoons aren't animated with alot of Common sense

  • if she did that there wouldn't be much of a story left! lol

  • Clara HAS TO LEAVE the Mouse King ALONE. If she kills him, the spell will never be broken.

In the second part, uncle Drusselmeier(sp?) tells Clara that the Nutcracker/Hans has to slay the Mouse King AND win the hand of a fair maiden to break the spell.

So, if Clara kills the Mouse King,Hans cannot kill him as well (as it is already dead) and will remain a Nutcracker. Clara does the best she can:she hits the mouse with her slipper, she locks him in a drawer and tries to protect the Nutcracker.

  • although...Clara didn't do anything to kill the Mouse king. she only thre candy at him. so...in truth...the Nutcracker did kill him. it just took awhile.

  • In the original story, Clara hits the Mouse King with her slipper and the Nutcracker takes advantage of this and kills the Mouse King.I guess "it wasn't noble enough" and that is why they changed the story.

  • WHAT IS THAT SONG THEY DANCE TO!
