I always see Hendrix walking in an Apocolapse Now scene instead of a Strat he is carrying an M-16... not a violent scene but just before it got bloody... And he's thinking about his girlfriend back home and whether or not he will see her again or even be able to think about her when the day is over. For that reason I could never fully enjoy this song but you guys as usual do a great job. You guys need to play at the next "Hendrix Convention" . NOT KIDDING!

I always enjoy these guy's takes on Jimi's stuff.

I must beg to differ though, on the assertion that this is an anti-war song. Jimi explained what this song was about at Woodstock when he said it was "About a cat singin' about his ol' lady that he dreams about, but having a machine gun instead." Jimi hated war, but it is a common error people make when they attribute anti-Vietnam war sentiment to his lyrics when he just hated man's inhumanity to man in general. At one point, he was FOR the war.

Great job boys, you guys got a pretty good mix but I reckon you could turn up the bass a bit. This song needs that little bit more bass especially when the guitarist is having his solo because he's doing some pretty cool stuff over the chord progression and you need to clearly here how it fits and why he chose them notes.
