  • Brian Blade REALLY makes this piece work!

  • its not exclusive to digital download, i got this on cd back in 2008 or 2009

  • a wonderful song, feeling inside

  • This is very good. He is an innovative and talented musician, a very interesting style.

  • thanks ABC

  • very nice ! です.

  • Dylanesque.

  • Lanois certainly is what is with soul!

  • Why don't you just pay for the fricking song like everyone else who appreciates Daniel?

  • great :D

could someone please upload the studio version of this song somehow i think the song from the record got a little bit more intimacy

  • Daniel has a site that allows you to buy and download the music in top quality. There are copyrights to respect, not to mention the man himself.

  • soulful to the end............

  • Lanois is simply what is. Here. Organic sound and the way it feels to ensemble and mix.

  • The man is a genius and he's CANADIAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I saw him in Moncton, NB in the fall of 2008. I could see him another thousand times.

  • I could listen to these songs hundreds of times over and over. In fact I have. I can't get enough of him.

  • No one has mentioned Peter Gabriel's "So" and "Us" produced by Lanois

  • Great singer!

  • Love the song and his voice.

  • simply the greatest..

  • Very good drummer

  • Brian Blade. Only the best.

  • @letsif The best, Brian Blade

  • I totally see why you recognize a bit of Knopfler in this guy, not only the guitarplaying but even the voice reminds me of Mark!

Really like him, haven't seen much yet but I think I'll be looking for some more.

  • No need to feel badly. He is responsible for producing a few pretty well known albums:

    Achtung Baby - U2, 1991

    The Joshua Tree - U2, 1987

Fever In Fever Out - Luscious Jackson, 1996

Time Out of Mind - Bob Dylan, 1997

    Teatro - Willie Nelson, 1998

    All That You Can't Leave Behind - U2, 2000

  • Ok i'm totally ignorant to this guy but he plays some amazing stuff but....anyone sense any Mark Knopfler in there??

  • I can see why you may say that due to the way he uses his fingers, but he is by his own admission more influenced by Jimi Hendrix.

  • Daniel Lanois is one of the most famous producers and brilliant minds in the history of rock and roll. It was direction at the helm of U2's "Unforgettable Fire" and Peter Gabriel's "So" that made them both all-time classics. He is also responsible for the incredible atmospheric vibe of Bob Dylan's masterpieces "Oh Mercy" and "Time Out Of Mind". He truly is rock music's equivilent of a Martin Scorcese or Stanley Kubrick.
