About the violent games tax...the WORST part about that is that developers will be more RELUCTANT to create violent games and will try hard to get their games rated under T. If the 1% doesn't do that, it will happen eventually since this will be just the beginning if it goes through.

The sign of this famous stress test is OPEN BETA 99% of the time and not massive close beta invites.

It looks to me like this is the way blizzard apologize to its fans rather than stress test of the servers.

If this was really a stress test then game would have been scheduleed for MAX end february , like most of MMORPGs do. Open beta around 15 days , then 15 days off prior to release.

Thats isnt happening with diablo 3. Soon to me is not 3-4 months . is 1 month max

As for the bullies,the most a videogame could contribute is for the outfit used...and nothing else. The children these days are raised by the TV and internet (mostly not content filtered) or at most a nanny. So long as the parents dont take responsability, this issue will never be resolved. If the child has the so called "Warrior gene" than is the parents job to identify it, and take messures to find an outlet for it, e.g. Martial arts (the philosofy -- not only fighting) or something like that.

I was wondering... where do the damage percentage comes from? All skills say *% of weapon damage, and Blizz says it comes from strength for Barb, Dex for Monk & DH, and Int for Wiz & WD... So which is the right one? I mean... if my weapon has 13.5 DPS and has say +8 strength for my barb, and barb damage comes from strength, but Bash does (can't remember right now the actual percentage) 150% of WEAPON damage... what is it? Although I agree with what you say about parenting, force, I do not doubt much that displayed violence still calls for violence, or at the very least does nothing to stop it at all... So I do agree with such a tax, video game companies make a lot of money and should pay much more taxes anyway, if the tax cost falls on the customer, so be it, gamers (as myself) generally are wealthy enough, this is the responsible thing to do (among many others like better public education of course).

Dude, parents will never be held accountable for their actions resulting in problem children or even death. You hear story after story of kids dying to pure neglect and there are no charges filed against the parents.

I actually got one of those beta invites! Enjoying the Diablo bliss that the series seems to know how to put you in. ALSO with there is already a free app MTGtracker that does all that stuff. It's pretty awesome. ALSO also, I hope you do get back into MTG because I just did and it's been extremely fun. As long as you do live in a city with Friday Night Magic, I say go for it!
