This guy isn't nearly as technically proficient as Portnoy - he just plays a bunch of fancy snare work with some independence and you're all over him. You don't pay any attention to how well his solo flows, how much it makes sense and how well he transitions between drum parts. Playing Multi-pedal orchestrations isn't everything.

@whiplashrunaway69 Also, look at his hand-to-foot combinations. While impressive and superior to the vast majority of drummers, he's still a step below Portnoy. With Portnoy - it's a non-stop assault on the drums that sounds amazing start to finish - can't say the same about this guy. If you watch The Spirit Carries on you will see that even Lang struggles in some areas Portnoy excels. It's not all about rudiments and independence.

I can play Constant motion, panic attack, and dark eternal night on drums. those are the only ones i will learn because the only other song they've made i like is a nightmare to remember, and its lik 12 minutes long.
