  • some woman trying to WHAT??

  • @ssbphotography Exactly!! WTF!!?? Show the whole clip!

  • He's talking about Pris character. "...some woman trying to kill a guy in between her legs..."

  • This reminds me of the scene in 'Silence of the Lambs' where Clarice stumbles into one of Jame Gumb's basement rooms and there's a corpse in the bathtub.

  • I find it funny that the man responsible of the mess that is Torque also admires this movie. You'd think he could produce something of better quality.

  • My dad gave me the blade runner soundtrack on tape as a kid, I wanted to see the movie so because all that I knew of it through my limited understanding was what I could see on the album cover and in pictures. I was so obsessed it that my dad finally stayed up with me one night when I was 9 and we watched it together :) good memories

  • I love how you hear the commentator saying "And you see some woman, trying to...." Then it ends... Then a XXX PORN XXX sexo vid gets advertised as next up... lmao!

  • If this guy happens to direct Neuromencer addaption, I'll be deep sick!

  • How come so many cool scenes were cut out of the movie? :/

  • It looks like shes been there for years, i guess replicants dont decompose.

  • is this clip from the Final Cut 'extras' ? i would love to know more about this scene and what was going on ... reading back comments, i'm wondering if she was just JF's 'toy' ... but the "6th skinjob" ? i always took it that the number discrepancy was that Dekard was the last replicant

  • @pacratboots It's not in the Final Cut.

I'm sure there's info on the scene on the 5-disc "collector's edition". I have the set but haven't watched all of it yet.

  • @pacratboots

I hate how the final cut overdubbed Bryant saying "5" instead of "6". I loved the fact of having that mysterious 6th replicant that nobody knows about. Leon, Pris, Roy, Zora, 'One of them' who met his fate in electrical field, and the Mystery replicant. PS, check out my blade runner video, I think you'll find it interesting.

  • Acually if you look close at the scene that is in the film you can still see her foot at the edge of the bathtub that Deckard(Ford) sits down on.

  • And you see some woman, trying to.... XD

  • What is this interview clip from? Hss anyone located a full version?

  • I think we all know that by know Sebastian has made a sex doll

  • I see the doll as a parody of "Elisabeth Siddal as Ophelia" by Sir John Everett Millais (1829-1896). This image, from the Shakespeare play "Hamlet", depicts Ophelia drowning herself. I think this doll killed herself in the bath after JF Sebastian (her father) was murdered by Batty, himself a tragic character. In a way, Blade Runner is about patricide and matricide, namely the killing of ones mother and father. For example, Roy kills Tyrell (his father) and the memory of the spider.....

  • @jcpadmore Thank you. Exactly. The French "Death Historian" Phillipe Aries describes it as "The Beautiful Death".

  • @jcpadmore BTW, I saw "Ophelia" up close in the Tate Gallery in London in 1999. It was in my travel book and I passed it by accident. I walked right up to it and saw each individual paint stroke and thought, "Those are just individual paint strokes, something I can do." After that, the painting lost it's magic for me, until about 2 weeks ago in a history class dealing with the history of death.

  • The creepiest part of the movie to me is when JF tells Pris that he's happy on Earth and touches the toy man's shoulder, but the toy man scowls at him and growls under his breath. This however, is pretty fecking creepy as well.

  • I like her feet.

Let's face it, MOST guys who had J.F. Sebastians talents would make a sex doll.

  • some woman trying to WHAT!!?!?!?!?!?!!

  • And to think that J.F. was probably just using that android in the tub as a sex companion. I guess she just was used up. *shivers*

  • I beg to differ sir, at least 43,986 people have seen this before

  • Who is this guy?...Blade Runner isn't for kids to watch anyway, this movie is gritty and dark...who cares about a body/doll in a bath...what about the scene were Batty pushes Tyrell's eyes into his skull...would your kids watch that. Christ, I wouldn't dream of showing this movie to a kid. Damn good movie.

  • @March6371

I think he's the founder of one of the Blade Runner sites aswell as being envolved in the movie industry in another way, I could be mistaken though.

  • This was supposed to show that JF was sleezy. A little rat of a man that took in Pris because, basically, he thought he was going to get lucky. It would of been a layer of characterisation too many, given we see this right at the end, when the movie is all about Deckard and Baty chasing one another. It would of been an unneeded distraction.

  • @IfIfsandands : Recall JF at first was almost dismissive to Pris - perhaps the doll represents how Society treated JF , his loneliness - of course he would make a female companion - he seems to be a reject of society - Author Dick focused much on sex in his stories - mans perversive nature - Scott probably did not include as it further complicates - cool if it were Roy Batty who found the bathtub companion and his reaction to his being mans creation - Genius Film

  • @palnetX True about JF in the book. P K Dick explicitly says the reason JF hasn't left Earth is because of his accelerated decrepitude, he's not in good enough shape to be part of the new generations on the off world Colonies.

  • Only JF wasn't sleazy at all. The only reason Pris got in was because she pushed for it. Watch the scene again if you don't believe me.

  • @UnlovedWarlock Fair enough, but you're making that verdict on the film minus the scenes we're discussing. As you watch the movie, you make your verdict. Then the scene of the doll in the bathtub comes on and throws that verdict in to question. You see what I'm saying? The reason why they left out the bathtub scene is to not confuse the viewer. It obviously works as you, a viewer, has a fixed verdict that doesn't get contradicted later, when Ridley wants you to concentrate on Deckard and Batty.

  • @UnlovedWarlock Now I think of it, I didn't think that of JF. A lonely misfit and maybe a bit pitiful, but not perverse. I would start to think he was a perv, if I say sex dolls in his bath tub.

  • O.O

  • "I found the theatrical version to be almost unwatchable" - Why? Its not _that_ different from the DC or any other. OK theres _some_ VO but not much, and a bit tagged on the end. Part from that its the same movie.

  • This is probably one of Sebastian's dolls. Mary was written out of the script by David Peoples.

  • This isn't an entirely deleted scene. In the final cut, if you look closely in the "That's the spirit!" scene in the bathroom, you can still see her. This is just a close-up.

  • It might be Mary, but i believe it's just one of sebastian's dolls.Otherwise, why would deckard just ignore it?

  • "I never felt like that before. Maybe it could be depression, like you get. I can understand how you suffer now when you're depressed; I always thought you liked it and I thought you could have snapped yourself out any time, if not alone then my means of the mood organ. But when you get that depressed you don't care. Apathy, because you've lose a sense of worth. It doesn't matter whether you feel better because you have no worth." - Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep

  • Great book. I read it when Blade Runner came out in 82.

What version of the movie are these Deleted scenes from?

There are like....5 different versions of the movie now.

  • the theatrical version ,

  • Why did Ridley Scott cut it ? It's great and freaky !

  • Indeed. This is a fairly good scene, it gets deep inside your skin :)

  • I thought that fucker was pris

  • It's one of JF Sebastian's robot dolls.

  • holy shit...i need to see the full version...i've grown up watching the director's cut. I hope Blade Runner fans are open to seeing Ridley Scott's 'Legend'...very atmospheric too...

  • I do not think this is in any of the versions unfortunately. The Final Cut (pretty much the DC with some mistakes fixed) is by far the best. I found the theatrical version to be almost unwatchable.

  • Yes, it is the sixth "skinjob"

  • That might be the sixth replicant, Mary who was dropped due to budget constraints. Otherwise I'm baffled.

  • WHO IS SHE?

  • Yea, really. What was that?

  • too short!!!
