I remember when KFWB was a music station, the kids considered it inferior to KHJ and KRLA, nobody missed it when it went to all news. Grew up in Inglewood in the 50's-60's.......sad that LA has turned into such a crap hole.

You mean it has been 40 years since Gene Weed named 50 djs who brought rock to Los Angeles on KFWB? I couldn't believe KFWB would be emerging the next morning as 'all news.' KHJ took away the personality, and brought on automated rock. Luckily KRLA was still there. Personality top 40 prevailed. In any case, I missed the mentor;the original! I was, at the time hoping it was all a cruel joke but, they've had 40 years of success with all news.

I live far from L.A. but, have many memories.
