This game's just so damn good. I still pick it up from time to time not only for its difficulty and gameplay, but it's music is simply amazing. I wish there was a more modern release of THIS particular game with a remix of the entire soundtrack.

It is like Gradius. After you beat it the first time, it sends you to the beggining with increased difficulty.

Shouldn't he fire off the top rocket thing into the enemy, that always does a lot of damage. I've only played the SNES R-Type, so I don't know if it's possible in this one too.

You now, the blue thing you found, that you put on the top of your ship. I played an R-Type game for the Super Nintendo, and you could fire it of, and it damages. I don't know if it works in this game too, so, I guess it does work, and you don't do it because it's not that good anyway.

That was awesome. Dobkeratops I was expecting, but when I saw the fourth stage boss from R-Type II my mouth dropped open. Gomander's always cool, and the turret ring looked fairly difficult, but I liked that too.

@mmmmmarcus I actualy kinda like Final. The level design is kinda bland until the last few levels, but the bosses are fun, and I do think the game has a certain charm to it.

It's 4 bosses from the original R-Type, in one, I think. (correct me if I'm wrong) Oh, and of course the original form of the blob. With a re-arranged edition of the original boss theme, no less. Think they made it like that as a sort of tribute or something? It's cool enough either way. :)

Yes. Although the second form is from R-type 2. And the fourth form was not a boss but a obstacle from the first stage of the original R-type. But other than that your right. It is an awesome boss.

Yup. all the bosses have a pallete swap on advance mode.

well it would probably be to easy without revival points. I do know that R-type leo on the arcades doesnt have revival points but that game feels differant, it is more reflexed based than the other games I think. anyway I looked on khinsider but all they have is the sound tracks of r-type delta and r-type final. I'll tell you if I find the sound track for this game.

because this is on hard mode. On normal mode he is orange but in hard mode the bosses colors are changed around a bit.
