lol yeah i'll agree with your point, but because nike is such a global company, product designers have a very layman mindset of things to properly classify what direction something should go towards (i.e casual, offroad, outdoor) for Nike SB case in point, because a skate shoe needs to endure stairs, rails, griptape etc. it probably has to follow the same line as aggressive stuff like football or basketball, so that's why they classify the shoes as "sports".

I just met Omar today. The SB team (not all of them) did a demo here in Sacto. And one of the local skaters just got sponsored. The demo was sick. I happened to meet Omar afterwards to take a picture, he's a really down to earth guy. And so is P-rod. P-rod actually played a game of skate with some of the kids, it was sick.

@Vince232. I can see what you're saying considering i've skated a pair of Janoski's and prior to that skated in Blazers, mainly for it's vulcanized sole. I guess the reason sneakerheads are upset with the SB line is because the shoes are starting to look less like SB's are more like "Regular" Nike shoes specifically the Dunks. In anycase i still appreciate that Nike is finally paying MORE attention the the SB line with the implementation of flywire on the Salazar.

I don't think "sneakerheads" get upset because Nike makes the SB line more skateable, sneakerheads got upset at the Sb line because they made the shoe LESS comfortable by removing the stuffing on Sb tongue on both the Dunk hi and Dunk low models. While i don't skate SB i can see how less protection on the forefoot can be less comfortable.
