  • Wowie...that "Railroad Man" snippet was realy something else. Instead of doing the obvious ,and set the band in a railstation setting, some bright dude dicided,"let 'm float through the 'clouds'.....hit by a windmill,I'd say ;/

  • There was a first aid station just off-camera for dancers that suffered splinters from the dancing in the wooden shoes.....iiiiit's true!...damn what happened to the song in the middle...no wonder they were a one hit wonder.

  • Pure 60´s Mariska Veres Forever God Bless You!!!

  • mariska veres was so hot!!!!!!!!!!!

  • SUPER !!! pamiętam to dobrze ŚWIETNE :)

  • Wow ! Are the back up dancers Dutch milk girls of Holland? At first glance they look like hordes of Mongol invaders of Genghis Khan. Ha Ha Ha. The songs are great. My favorites!

  • Dutch go go dancers in wooden shoes. SW Michigan, near Lake Michigan is Dutch culture. So this is extra cute, considering.

  • Additional very very recent informations;

I hear BBC will release Jefferson Mary sang, a western taste song, available at my channel, as on series of DVDs in coming this May 2009, maybe.

I have heared Mary singing Those Were The Days at her concert in 1970 Osaka Expo.

I have Mariska and Shocking Blues NMRM 45rpm

    Sorry so too repeated commenting.

  • I like travelling by railroads.

My interest is on new trains.

I have taken the Rheingold from Amsterdam to Mannhaim and the "Night Ferry" from Paris to Victoria. It was a boat ttain with Wagon Lit sleeping cars only train.

I love you, Mari-ska and Mary (Hopkin)!

    shocking blue waren genial

ich hörte you know i`m no good solo gesungen. das war klasse.

    dein deiutsch ist o k

  • Wow!

You mean "psyco-de-lic, LSD drinken!?" and "so sophisticated / modern"

  • Super! Das war meine erste Single - toller Song!

  • love you babe miss you lotz

  • Whoa, this vid is so trippy. The producer who must be on acid or magic mushroom.

  • LASTIMA DE VIEJOTA MARISKA I LOVE YOU

  • 'Beat behind the dikes' was a Dutch programme, certainly not German. It featured upcoming or already famous Dutch bands, like Golden Earring, Sandy Coast and Shocking Blue.

  • Remember to Mariska and shocking blue is remember beautifull years, when I was a child and I was in love of Mariska.

  • Me, too! I sometimes think the whole world was in love with Mariska!!

  • I love how mariska dances sychroom with the girls in the dutch dresses. this must be a dutch recording, whiped out later in the 70's because they needed the tapes for new recordings. what a shame so much is whiped out. this was found in an german 'cellar' not so long ago. I am very very happy with it. thanks for uploading this.

  • Are you sure it was a German TV show?

  • Yes. You do have any other ideas about the show origin?

  • Perhaps Dutch, because I see the name of two Dutch broadcasting companies (NCRV and AVRO).

  • @Kirilloid

  • @Kirilloid AVRO is Dutch.

  • @Kirilloid They're Dutch

  • @Kirilloid This is Dutch. The "Avro" is a Dutch broadcasting station ;)
