  • "sizzle sizzle sizzle me baby light my fire" fantastic arrangement and backgroung vocals!

  • The backing vocals are sweet in this, they really make this song

  • Sizzle sizzle me baby light fire , sizzle sizzle me baby light my fire!!!! What a groove!!!! the tops can sing it like no one else can . great levi leads an sings with so much soul and emotion. This should of been released as a single!!!! as you can tell I'm partially bias toward the 4 top version however I wonder how it would sound with Lawrence !! both where top notch singers I sure miss levi no one can replace him no matter how they may try. Excellent cover of a greattune whoever sang it

  • @no14topfan Hey! Stevie Wonder said the exact smae thing about them taking a song and making it their own. You hit that one on the nose.

  • In my opinion nobody does this song like Jose Feliciano this coming from a big Stevie and Four Tops fan

  • Its a Jackie Wilson tune or Young Holt Unlimited:P

  • I love when they begin to sing in the background! All around a great cover.

  • IS THIS REAL,, I THINK LIVI IS KING, MY UNCLE DOES THIS ONE BETTER, 99

  • I can't stand Levi in those low keys. They should have let one of the other chaps sing the verse.

Of course once he gets going by mid-song NOBODY can touch my man!

  • you got it pete

  • @PetePeterkin Think that I have to agree with you. I prefer Stevie Wnders version, but Levi does get into the soul zone mid way through.

  • I never knew that The Four Tops cover this song. I am feeling their version of the Door's song.. Levi has taken this song for me to another level. I thought Minnie Ripleton w/ Jose was good.

  • Levi and his boy were on natural high, not like Morrison and his crew on "dusty white high" This cover is immortal.

  • @redwalls76 Tis not a doors song lol

  • @ChillMB The Doors did the original (Robbie Krieger wrote it). Jackie Wilson is one in a looooong line of musicians who covered it (Stevie Wonder, Jose Feliciano, Erma Franklin, Shirley Bassey). But you may have known that already and are just joking around.

  • @camking88 Nah I was serious until about 2 minutes after I wrote it. I discovered I was in error:-D Some pretty cool versions I learned from researching though.

  • @ChillMB Yeah, Robbie Krieger did reallyy good with this song. It trascends genre. You got everything from jazz (Shirley Bassey), to Motown (Stevie Wonder, Four Tops), to deep soul (Erma Franklin), to Latin folk (Jose Feliciano), and everything in between. Sorry for the long reply, as you can see I love this song.

  • yes.....songs like this, y id like to go back there for a few days.

  • I loved this version for years!

  • I was wrong...its 1969

  • Didnt the Album Soul Spell Come out in 1967?

  • This is a hot tune. I have this on CD. It's a great jam!

  • 3 Stars ? .. damn .. pls @ all !!
