The video & the truth behind the video is terrible, but let us not attack the women using Premarin or belittle the suffering that some women go thru during menopause. I own Buddy, who was the last foal born to Gypsy (who was owned by a premarin farm). Getting them out of that & letting them live normal is wonderful. I wish more people would adopt these great horses. Promote the use of other meds for the ease of menopause & promote the adoption of these wonderful horses.

Had my hysterectomy in 1995.Did the patches for two weeks absolutely hated the dam things threw them away and told the Dr I didn't need them.He kept pushing HRT so much I quit going to him and I told him why that he maybe a Doctor,but I knew my body way better than he did.I haven't had any HRT since 95 and had no symptoms ever!

Trust me if companies were to list horse piss as a main ingredient that would put an end to this awful industry and to the women who insist on taking why not let them get it straight from the source.Just hand them each a glass and let them stand in horse manure right behind the poor mare and have them catch in a glass,plus it'll real fresh and warm too!Its just as disgusting in pill form too!

@parrot2me I soo agree with you on that comment..I asked my mother of what estrogen she took and thank goodness its nothing that starts with P...If you really think about it Premarin,Preperin, all start with P (pee) GROSS!! Go for plant if you must or not take anything at all..UGh..When I hit menopausal, I am going all natural, with no "meds" to help me thru it =)

The government needs to step in and stop all production of Premarin in Canada. We can not allow this cruelty to continue. Horses are extremely sensitive, astute and sentient. And for all those women who are naive and ignorant enough to continue to take a drug from which they can get cancer, so be it. Maybe a few million women need to die in order for change to occur. Is this what our government wants? Human sacrifice before they step in and shut down the Premarin factories?

I had a hysterectomy in 2005, and I refused to take ANY Premarin or synthetic hormones in any way shape or form.I also told the DR that I REFUSE in any way shape or form to contribute to the misery and death of these PMU horses. Why cant these women just suffer through the hot flashes for a week or 2 just like I did?Why should a horse have to suffer to make some stupid woman comfortable? Just tough it out like I did!! Its been 6 years since my hyst and I have NEVER taken any drugs for it

@grettagrids Its all a scam by the drug companies to make money.They get you taking it, and your body gets so addicted to it that you cant handle the withdrawal symptoms. Why cant you taper yourself off of it? You could tough it out like I did after my hyst. I went thru the hot'cold flashes for a few weeks sfter my surgery, but I never took that crap in any way shape or form. I am fine, and I dont "need" that garbage.You really dont need it either. They do make synthetics

Horses are over populated, thats the reason so many are slaughtered, because there isnt enough people to care for them, or room for them. One of the reasons they're over populated is things like this where mares are made pregnant just for they're urine, and there is no thought to the foal.

I got thru menopause just fine without any HRT. there's a reason we go thru what we do at this time of life. I would rather be a little uncomfortable at times than rely on the suffering of a living thing to ease my "discomfort".

Some women need HRT for bone marrow loss but there are at least 5 or 6 alternatives I know to Premarin. This is sad but not suprising.

I have to make this decision next week after surgery and Im so scared and i dont want to take the HRT's. I'm comforted by this doctor who softley said ask your doctor this. Just his simple mention of that assured me not to feel out of order questioning my doctor. I always do but this is another doctor who i suspect may be a bit out of the new ways of drug treatments for women. I wont take Premarin!
