Yeah, they're christian, so what? do you like the song/ band? yes? then shut the fuck up and enjoy the good music instead of focusing on their beliefs. No one gives a shit about what you believe in, plain and simple, if the band is amazing, that's it, they're amazing. There should never be a hint of bias if the music is great. Christian or not, music was meant for everyone to enjoy, And I ENJOY listening to The Myriad, PERIOD!
I don't understand why a band's religion is so important to people. I'm agnostic and some of my absolute favorite bands are Christian. People relate to songs in different ways...even if a band is writing about god, it doesn't mean a non-religious fan can't relate the music to their own lives. Music by Flyleaf and Anberlin (I realize they consider themselves secular, but they do write about god) has helped me through a lot. I get tired of hearing that I can't appreciate them because of my views
Actually, i've seen them perform it twice. But its true, they rarely do play this one. First time i saw them do this song was about 4 years ago, and the second time was just last year.
@Strikr Yah it's one of there older ones. This is like the only old one by them that I really listin to. the drummer just moved in nexed door to me and he has 2 kids. our families are Real good friends.
@bnorvell11 Hey man, I saw that Randy Miller moved in. That was seven months ago. I'm sorry to hear about his death. He was a good guy and amazing musician. Very talented. We will miss him.
God is awesome and if you guys are going to lisn to a christian band and not act like a christian, you are going to give us a bad name so make a choice.
I know you guys are talking about religion, and I'm kinda tired of John Lennon's anti-religion religion, so all I have to say is.... I LOVE GRETSCH PRO JETS!!!!!!!!! :D
okay im a christian and i will always stay a christian but you guys it is a song and it has a good meaning and if someone decides to like this band and isnt a christian we just have to ignore their decisions and foccuse on our decisions although we may not agree with others decisions we must be kind and loving to that person they are a human being ! :)
that is so stereotypical especially when you haven't looked into religions and beliefs. I agree, many religions are based on bloodlust, money, and power. False Gods, people worshipping pieces of wood and material. Sad, I know. But Religion is just reaching to God, Christianity, is letting God reach to us. Please be open minded, and in Christianity, the main concept is getting along. Other religions no, but Christianity, We live we love forgive and never give up. You can (cont)

There are so many sects of Christianity, Don't judge one because of the other, and don't judge Christianity because of other religions.
Also, you may wonder why I take the time to tell you this. I am not upset at what you said, though some may be. I just want to let you know, this is a very important decision. There is your opinion, that we are all facing an empty abyss with no thoughts, or eternal damnation. Or even Heaven, a place of joy. It really should make you think, i am not forcing this upon you, I want to just say that this is all very much so worth thinking about.

ya relient k is still a christian band... it doesn't mean they're "going" secular because they're in a secular label. They're still christians and most of their songs are about God. Switchfoot's the same way. POD as well as other bands, lifehouse and so on. Just they're in a secular label, which is actually cool cause they're reaching the lost in some way even though their not singing about God in every song.
i agree, but personnaly i would prefer relient k etc... to stick with a christian label, because as well as reaching out to others its also drawing out christians into new music by their label. thats just my opinion but i just thought id share that

Some people think that if your band is christian it means you can only sing praise and worship music... not true. It just means the music is gonna be clean and safe to listen to and does'nt have some weird hidden agenda behind it.

"I mean... it's not exactly a financially sound claim for a band"
actually yes it is..theres a whole lot of christians in this world, and once they hear that a bands christian they will give it at least a listen."I don't know of any christian labeled bands that aren't safe to listen to"
see right there thats a mistake, just because they say they are christian and their music is clean doesn't mean they are christian.
"actually yes it is..theres a whole lot of christians in this world, and once they hear that a bands christian they will give it at least a listen."
-That's a down right lie my friend. I'm afraid you are too sheltered or something to realize what is really going on in the world... No offense. Most so called christians in the U.S don't even listen to christian music. They might during church or w/e but when they get home its pretty much all secular rap or w/e.
"see right there thats a mistake, just because they say they are christian and their music is clean doesn't mean they are christian."
-No I already agreed. But like I said it's not financially sound or successfully sound to claim to be achristian band. Ask all the christian sellout bands. (mute mate, 12 stones etc.)
-The whole point was that christian bands are not limited to worship and praise. He wasn't trying to debate that every christian band ever is for sure christian.

"Do you realize how many christians there are just in the United States."

"it can just be that the band never talks about God at all."
-You're judging them from a lack of knowledge. Big mistake.
"can you tell me truthfully that if you heard a band was christian you wouldn't even think about giving them a listen?"
--- Truthfully, I try to only hear christian music and non lyrical music. Unfortunately, almost every christian I've known likes to listen to secular music and that's where their money goes.
"Most christian bands at least talk a little about God when they play."
--- Indeed, I don't know of one self proclaimed christian band that doesn't.
yea kinda. one of the guys was on total axxess (its a Christian radio program thing) and their music is Christian influenced. he pretty much said that their music came from their heart and thats what the songs are
ok..thank's it's good to know that, thanks 4 taking your time to answer man, if you ever need to to know anything about spanish christian music just let me know... bless u.. chau!
Wow!!! Its great, this was the first song i heard from you guys, on an internet radio station and i loved it!!! Of course i tracked you down on myspace :D And im so glad you've found me on youtube!!! Thanks!! Awsome! I love it!
Umm...since when does Chris Wolstenholme wear a scarf when he plays bass? Lol. I guess I never pay much attention to Chris, though, so maybe you're right. :)
Exodus 20:16 You must not testify falsely against your neighbor."
have you ever talked to these guys or listened to more than one of their songs? not angry, just wanting to challenge you to reconsider your opinion. to say something like this without knowing all the facts or having any evidence to back up your statement is not Christlike.

SavedTru8 3 years ago 11
ehh not exactly, while it will be clean and safe to listen to, most christian bands have christian messages to the lyrics and such.
SamuiHakai 3 years ago
@Samui...
"Not Exactly"
- Yes, SavedTru8 is right... many of their lyrics are about relationships or video games (Mychildren Mybride "Headshot") or just about w/e! :D They are just kewl and safe to listen to! :)
-Also, I think his point was that Christian bands are not limited to "praise and worship" music. Not that most christian bands don't wanna (or don't) praise the Lord with their music.
BoxingJackal 3 years ago
1. Song names don't always directly relate to what the songs about.
2. No christian band would ever be so stupid as to make a song about a video game
3. Most christian bands's songs talk about sins, issues, finding God, or anything spiritual.
4. Worship and praise doesn't neccecarilly have to be the classic worship songs.
5. Take a look at the lyrics and see if you can at least guess what the song is about.
6. Just because a band says they are christian doesn't mean they actually are.
SamuiHakai 3 years ago
1. I never said they did.
2. That's not stupid. Why are you so hostile?
3. Doesn't mean they're strictly limited to.

@SamuiHakai

Umm...since when does Chris Wolstenholme wear a scarf when he plays bass? Lol. I guess I never pay much attention to Chris, though, so maybe you're right. :)

this dont seem like a christ like band. sorry. i do like them but they are on remedy tour david crowder./
dusmx506 4 years ago
Exodus 20:16 You must not testify falsely against your neighbor."
have you ever talked to these guys or listened to more than one of their songs? not angry, just wanting to challenge you to reconsider your opinion. to say something like this without knowing all the facts or having any evidence to back up your statement is not Christlike.
curlyroller 4 years ago 2
Good try to Quote scripture but I dont really know if that verse is the best fit, I would say something more like
Duet 32:31 "For their rock is not like our Rock, even our enemies themselves judge this."
(not really I just like the Rock comment)
or maybe even
Ezik 24:14 "You will be judged according to your conduct and your actions, declares the Sovereign LORD" not of your looks
Bigpapashroom 3 years ago
then what does a "Christ-like" band supposed to look like?
Beards and robes?
I don't think so.
I think Jesus would rock out hard with these guys.
tiffanygf88 4 years ago 3
Dusmx506, Who cares if they're not a "christ like band", they're still awesome! They're songs arent against christ so thats good enough for me!
