This movie was a xmas tradition for years with friends of mine: midnight mass; back to their place; and I wrote the "letters from Santa" to go with the kid's gifts, while watching this movie. Hadn't done it for three years; did xmas brunch this year; and found out the 'kids' (now in high school) favorite memory of xmas was me drunkenly belting out this tune downstairs when they were 'asleep'. They're all straight; I'm gay: the 'kids' have always cheerfully acknowledged me as their gay 'uncle'!
