hi bro look i see too many comments and i believe to each its own, when it comes to martial arts, respect, dedication and discipline are a must and its good to know how to face a someone who can hurt you but stillbeing confident, you defend yourself and whoevere is with you its a philosophy, ufc its an entertainment show as well as mma where two well trained man beat eachother up with rage vs jeet kune do to my poitof view as a self defense tool not to cause trouble or provoke anyone.
at least bruce lee fought for real. but these JKD guys nowadays , they don't fight with nobody. bunch of scared pussies. Bruce Lee followers?=]]. i kinda doubt that. Bruce fought anyone who challenged him. but these guys (Tommy Carruthers , Emil Martirossian , Paul Vunak , etccccc). don't have the balls to go out there and show to the world that JKD is the best street fighting art . that is what bothers me.
Nobody should learn from a guy who didn't prove his skills. thats how i see things. you want people to learn from you? prove you are good enough. prove that your stuff works in real fights.
@UchihaKensei Ultimate fighting is not that one you see in the cage with gloves and juges and ring and rules.. Emil does martial art, and it is like any arts in the world, no rules no limits, just art. And the only ultimate fighting, is fighting your self to be a better man or a better practitioner and not fighting in the ring, because the ring and the streets is far from eachother, dont be fooled by the television. This is for selfdefence not for atacking and fighting, this is a way of life.
@shiifu A martial artist may want to meet others to test their skills. There's nothing wrong with that. And if there are rules in the competition, show what can do within the rules.
@UchihaKensei If they want to test there skill they can sparr, but to really test there highest skill is knowing that you can hurt someone but chosing not to, real martial art dont have rules, if you have rules, there is no art, just a sport like anyone els, but real combet dont have eather time or rules or juges, but only life it self.
@shiifu as I said before. The martial artist shows what he can within the rules. If his art is bad for those rules, he does not participate. A fight UFC can be a sport, but are many martial artists who have adapted the rules of the competition. I mean the UFC has martial artists, so there's nothing wrong with telling a martial artist to fight in the UFC. a fight between martial artists can acopntecer within rules (competition). I'd like to say more but my language isn't english.
I'm not interested in UFC one little bit Actually I fall asleep I find it very boring. I much prefer to watch a good K1 fight at least there is allot of skill there. I may fight in K1 someday who knows but at the moment I'm not hungry for it. Thank you :)
@UchihaKensei It is nothing wrong with your language. Even if we would speak the same words we dont speak the same language and we are not at the same level thats why we cant understand eachother.
Wise men don't need to prove their point.. men who need to prove their point aren't wise.

@shiifu "Wise men don't need to prove their point.. men who need to prove their point aren't wise". Hahaha, faça-me o favor.
Did you understand? Oh! I think not, because my level is diferent from yours.
@UchihaKensei When you learn Wu wei, you learn to see the truth as it is, and not how it looks like. Like the Moon in the water my friend. Wish you good luck with your training and spiritual training, may you find your way and may you walk it.
I love this video. Emil. you are exceptional. You bring an excitement to the Martial Arts Arena that is so refreshing to see. Your "non-telegraphic" executions (punches and attacks) are awesome. Your power is undeniable and evident when you listen to the deep "heavy thump" sounding blows penetrating the heavybag. It is also evident when you snap. I'd hate to be on the receiving end. Real nice video brother. Thanks for posting. maurice
Wow awesome video. I like how from trapping you go into locks. The JKD I have tried does nothing like that at all. Did you incorporate that from another style? I am just awed. I am going out this week and see if I can find a school that teaches stuff like this (though were I live I doubt it unfortunately.) Oh please keep making the videos. I learn alot from them and it's great to see high level martial arts at work.
@MamboRasco Hello bro, Where are you based? I was very lucky that I trained with Sigung Taky Kimura. Sigung Taky is not only my Sigung he is also my brother I am very lucky to have met him and trained if it wasen't for Sigung Taky I would not be on this level. I teach in the UK I am still on my journey and I'm learning about the fighting arts I been training in martial arts for 28 years now. Thank you for your support and let me know if theres anything I can do to help you with your training.
@hlb101 Thanks for replying. Well I am in NYC. I have tried some JKD out here and nothing like you are doing. I took a little break from training but I am starting to look at school. I have not found a good JKD school so I might end doing Wing Chun maybe and maybe another style that would compliment it.
